This place is awful. Food is terrible and the music is only good if you’re 70+ years old. They have live bands and open mic night and only welcome people playing bob dylan or van Morrison or soft folk music. This place is only for boomers who only listen to the same 5 songs. The same old people show up every week and play the same 5 songs. I have never been to a duller, less talented open mic in my entire life
The service was friendly. They have activity sheets for the kids. The food was so good, all delicious, and in a generous size. The salad was fresh. The ribs was well marinated and tender. I had a peaceful meal time as all my picky eaters ate without any complaints. Thank you!
Amazing manager
Manager is the best
We were there for mother's Day. Only 2 staff working the tables. I felt bad for the servers.
Service was stressed food was so/ so.
We have been a few times since moving here in January. Service is always slow. But food is okay for pub food. They need to do better. Feel bad for the staff.
Food and drinks were delicious. I got the Rosita and we spilt the bbq flatbread. My friend said her beer was crisp & ice cold.
Only negative note - the reason why I ordered the Rosita was for the fresh strawberries, but when the drink arrived it didn’t have any and the server told me it they were out. I would have preferred a heads up and potentially ordered something different
Fionns is a regular spot for my boyfriend and myself , Leah is our favourite no doubt. She goes above and beyond in every way, every time. Service 1000 out of 10 from her. Happy campers here.
The service was amazing, everyone is so kind and nice. The manager is very kind as well!
Honestly worth the drive to the Bowmanville location. Server was more concerned with the hockey game than taking care of guests. Our order was wrong and took forever even with little to no wait for everyone else. Will not be returning as I was wildly disappointed to the point where we almost walked out midway through our meal it was that bad. Once the meals came the sandwich we ordered felt like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for 10 + minutes with soggiest bun in existence. I’ve had water drier than the sandwich I received.
My wife and I were looking for a place to grab a quick bite and were passing by, so we dropped in.
BIG MISTAKE!!!!
Prices are outrageous!!!! I would go as far as to say Fionn MacCool's is gouging!
With so many last expensive pub fare options available throughout Durham this will be the only time we'll be eating at Fionn MacCool's. The food was far from anything exceptional, the service was slow and the portion sizes didn't compensate for the prices. This explained why the place was empty. Nobody could afford their $10+ beers.
If you want to feel 'ripped off' then go to Fionn MacCool's.

Went here for lunch. Food was great, the guy bringing the orders out for Uber was fantastic. Our waitress was absent most of the time. I had to flag the gentleman packing the uber orders for a box and our bill. The music was all over the place. It wasn't bad music but it wasn't what I was expecting to hear.
We had a reservation for 6pm and after waiting 35 mins our drink order had not even been taken. We ended up leaving
We arrived for our reservation at 6:03 and were seated right away however we waited 35 mins and no waitstaff came to our table to even take our drink order. After watching another couple who arrived after us get served thier drinks and meal we ended up leaving. Several waitstaff glanced our way while we were at the table but other than that we were ignored. We left quite annoyed and won't be back anytime soon
5 Stars . I didn't like the food - it was too salty for me. Nice bar!
Our server Krystin took care of us. She was friendly and bubbly. Food was excellent , the jamison honey garlic was perfect and my friend enjoyed the Wagyu Gyoza Salad which Krystin also approved of lol. The wings was saucy and a great blend. Although there were a few minor hiccups from our waitress , she didnt break and owned up to it. We will still come back either way lol. One of the best pubs in Oshawa for sure.
