Absolutely loved this place! Wish we had tried sooner so will be back
So today we had a 4pm appointment that was made with Lisa to discuss hosting our wedding reception at Harpos and we were also debating on having our wedding ceremony there as well. I left in tears. Lisa's phone started ringing before we even got to see the reception spaces. It was her daughter phoning her. After being there for 15mins Lisa came into the room to let us know that she was leaving to go pick up her daughter. I was shocked. What a way to make a bride to be feel special. What a total let down.
Loved, loved, loved the whole experience! We celebrated a 40th anniversary, and everyone was complimenting their dishes, from appetisers though their main course and even dessert. Will be back soon for the next birthday we have!
The food was delicious and the server was really nice. I highly recommend Harpo to anyone!
I love this place, food and atmosphere are amazing.
Went last night to Harpo's for the first time to celebrate a friend's Milestone birthday. It was an exceptional experience. The staff are very attentive and the meals were enjoyed by all. It is our new go to place to celebrate special occasions. I hope you get a chance to try it out.
Went with my friend for the first time. On introduction we only greeted with the words "do you have a reservation?" No greetings, welcome and a young lady who seemed so absent minded. Our food was terrible, burnt bread, salad served in a freezing cold bowl and the salad as cold as the north pole! Ordered the lobster ravioli....got 4 giant shrimp, four of the flattest and thinnest ravioli had no taste or sight of lobster and an ocean of the worst tasting sauce...not to mention a whopping price of $50!!!
Overpriced and poor quality food also the venue needs an update!
I've been meaning to eat here for years, finally did and was super impressed. Best meal we have had in ages! Whole family loved it

Went with my wife for my birthday last night and left pretty disappointed. I've lived locally and driven past the restaurant since it was open and after finally trying it. I don't think I will go back.
I got the lobster ravioli. It was good but for $48 I had 4 ravioli on the plate, which if I didn't know were lobster I would have assumed they were cheese ravioli. It also came with 3 baby scallops which were not seared. It also came with 3 shrimp. Very small portion that left me still hungry upon completion. Appetizer was french onion soup which was very good.
My wife got the filet mignon which she ordered medium but was blue in the centre. Steak was also under seasoned and had next to no sear and came completely grey. Veggies on the side tasted of nothing but pepper. For a $56 plate this was very disappointing.
Dessert was the best part of the meal. We had the a cherry cheesecake and chocolate cake. Both were excellent.
Service was friendly but nothing really beyond taking the orders. Atmosphere was also kind of odd, the layout feels kind of like the lobby of a hotel or a funeral home. Lights were very bright and our table kind of felt like it was plopped in the centre of the room.
Overall our bill was $200.01 ($230.01 after tip) and it just was not worth the price tag at all. I feel like Harpos is really selling a fine dining experience with their menu and prices but offering nothing close to a fine dinging experience with food quality, portion sizes or atmosphere.
I think for the price tag, you'd be significantly happier going to: Chanterelle (Bowmanville) KB or The Springwood (Whitby) and getting a proper fine dining experience.
Very disappointed. $230.01 for mediocre food, and left still hungry.

Wonderful experience!! The atmosphere is elegant, and prices competitive. My caesar salad was top notch, garlic bread was amazing, prime rib cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth!! Server was polite, paid attention but didn't 'hover'. An overall great evening in a marvellous gem of a restaurant. Kudos!!! Oh - there were 10 of us, and we'll be back :)

All of us really enjoyed our steaks especially the peppercorn sauce. The warm garlic break was fantastic and the service was exceptional. Water glasses were always full, food came out in the correct order and in a timely fashion. Will definitely be coming back more often!!
