A throwback to greasy spoon diners. Barebones and basic, but that's not a bad thing. The service is fantastic, as is the food. I recommend the steak and eggs.

1) Good customer service
2) My blueberry pancakes were raw in the middle but the burger was good
3) The place smells of cigarette smoke! It felt like walking into a diner in the 80's
4) The washroom smells weird
5) the place has an odd post apocalyptic vibe

With new management I tried a omelette I forgot the name of.Guocamole I might've spelled wrong but it was part of the omelette.Served with no rush, good black coffee and no exaggeration I am def ordering the omelette again.Great price and much tastier than eggs, bacon, home fries.New staff have made a new menu worth sampling multiple times. No pictures because I ate the omelette quickly before I realized I inhaled it.Next breakfast I will savor the meal and eat slowly

My husband and I come here every couple months.
We love the service, they are quick and eff. If anything is incorrect they fix it immediately without question.
We took my dad here on Sunday ( picky man) he was blown away. We pulled up and the restaurant only had 1 person in it, he was sceptical but I talked him into it. He sat down, got a coffee, loved the coffee, looked at the huge menu, finally picked his breakfast and was just amazed when he realized how big the meal was. The pricing is more than fair for the amount of food you get. I get eggs Benedict with ham every time and have never been disappointed. My husband tried the avocado toast and now this is his new go to. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast. Staff are friendly as well.

Before the management switch this place was our go to every Sunday morning. Food was good and the waiter dude was literally the best.
We went a couple times since, giving the place the benefit of the doubt, but the waitress we’ve had every time isn’t on top of things, refills are almost non existent even after stopping her to ask for them.
Food is still ok but not as good as before.
We’ve begun the look for a new Sunday breakfast place.
(If anyone knows of the waiter guy from before that was super super awesome works now, let me know, I’ll eat anywhere I get awesome service like he provided)

I went to this place for the first time to have the breakfast and the service was excellent.
Despite of busy pace i got the food at a time with the friendly server.
Definitely go again 👍
I recently visited King’s Breakfast Place, one of Oshawa’s old establishments from the looks of it. The food was good – kind of comforting breakfast. From fluffy pancakes to perfectly cooked eggs and crispy bacon, it’s a great spot for classic breakfast comfort food.
The service was decent, though not particularly outstanding. The staff was friendly enough, but the overall pace felt a bit slow, especially considering how popular the place is. That said, the staff was doing their best to handle the crowd, so I can’t fault them too much.
What really stands out about King’s Breakfast Place is its vibe. Being one of the older spots in Oshawa, it has that nostalgic, homey charm that many newer places try to replicate but rarely achieve. It’s cozy and unpretentious, with a classic diner feel that makes it feel like a step back in time.
Overall, King’s Breakfast Place is a solid choice if you're craving a hearty, no-frills breakfast in Oshawa. While the service could use a little improvement.

The establishment has a casual, cafeteria-style atmosphere, highlighted by incomplete menu boards and lime green accents. Despite being short-staffed with only two team members present, the food and service exceeded expectations. The traditional breakfast, priced at $12, was exceptionally well-prepared, and the service was attentive, elegant, and executed with great care. I would gladly return. Additionally, they offer a TV for your viewing enjoyment. Thank you.

We used to come here often last year and the waiter “Action” made the experience going above and beyond with service and friendliness.
Went today (Mar 2025) and it has steeply gone downhill. I asked if that waiter still worked there and got told they did a management switch recently. My Avocado on my Avocado, Bacon, Tomato Omelette was black and bad; and yet still served. My fiancé got a corn beef hash and it came with toast (never was even asked what toast he wanted). My dish also came with toast but the waitress only asked after I got my food “do you want any toast”.
We never really went there for the food but at least it was decent food before. We probably won’t be going there after today.

Listed as wheelchair accessible but when I called and asked I was told they are not. Be aware of you use a mobility device that you are not able to enter the restaurant even though they claim on Google they are wheelchair accessible

Confirmed through a phone call today they are not wheelchair accessible, despite what the listing says here.
Nice cozy place at the heart of Oshawa downtown. The food was warm, filling and tasty. Home fries are better than any other places i have been to. Service was top notch. The server took special attention to keep the coffee cup full. Service size is very good. As a full grown man I have struggled to finish the full plate. Try it out, u wont be disappointed.

Went in for steak and eggs while running errands. Ordered my steak rare, got it well done. When the server checked on me, I told her the steak was way too overcooked. All she said was that she'd tell the cook. When I went to pay she still expected full price even though 80% of the steak was still on my plate. It was as tough as boot leather. I ended up agreeing to pay 15 dollars for three eggs, home fries and the smallest slices of rye toast I've ever seen. They gave me the ends of the loaf. Won't be going back. Eggs were perfect and homefries were good. Service was awful.
