Not sure what happened but just found out they are under new ownership. The wings used to be the best. We have been ordering for 10 years. Just got two pizzas and three pounds of wings. Boy were we disappointed, half bone with half meat. You want pictures let me know. What is going on. You just lost a long term customer. I used to boast about how good your food was, no longer. DO NOT ORDER FROM LA PIZZA AND PASTA. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. More like LA GARBAGE AND PIZZA. Very disappointed. So much for mom and pop restaurants. We need to go back in time when people cared. All about money these days.

We ordered a mix of dishes from this Italian spot — Margherita Pizza, Butter Chicken Pizza, Lasagna, and Tiramisu — and everything was absolutely delicious! The Margherita was fresh and perfectly cheesy, the Butter Chicken Pizza was a unique fusion that worked surprisingly well, the Lasagna was rich and comforting, and the Tiramisu was the perfect sweet ending. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and the flavors really hit the spot. Definitely a place worth going back to!

Such a great spot for Italian takeout! The baked pizzas are seriously delicious—crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. They also have some amazing Italian desserts and a nice variety of ready-to-bake meals, which is perfect if you want something easy but still homemade-quality.
The staff was super friendly, and everything felt warm and welcoming. You can tell they really care about the food they’re putting out. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in the area!

It was an amazing experience at the store and the pizza was too yummy
Did I just get home from shopping in Sicily? That was seriously the best pizza i’ve had since my time in Italy. The focaccia bread, the breadstick, the pizza was my order and you can tell every single one was made with love and passion. The owners were both in the shop working as well and I was able to speak with Carmella who was so kind she even gave me two fritters on the house, which were ofcourse so delicious. Thank you La Pizza & Pasta for a great experience in the shop as well as a FANTASTIC dinner!

This is great little place for take out Italian food. Their food is delicious. The best part is it is consistently good.
La Pizza and Pasta: A Hidden Gem Behind the Golden Arch Grave
So yesterday, my girl and I were craving something real, not that cardboard-in-disguise stuff from the usual pizza chains. No offense to Domino’s or Pizza Hut, but their pies taste suspiciously like flavored Play-Doh. We stumbled upon this quaint little joint called La Pizza and Pasta near Taunton Junction, tucked humbly behind the bloated, corporate carcass of what used to be McDonald's. A promising start already.
We were all set to dine in and vibe with a proper Italian slice, but plot twist: no dine-in. Just as we were about to leave, the universe intervened in the form of Akhil, the super chill guy manning the counter(who I also happened to know from college). He gave us the “trust me, it’s worth it” nudge. We ordered the Alfredo Pasta and Margherita Pizza, planning to eat it at home...
But here’s the kicker, the smell coming from that box? Legit felt like an invisible, cheesy hand pulling me toward it. We didn’t even make it home. Got off the bus at college, walked into the cafeteria like two food pirates, and devoured it right there.
And wow. Leagues above the chain pizza trash. Like, this was food with heart. Food with flavor. Food that doesn’t taste like it was focus-grouped to death.
Moral of the story? I’m done with the big names. From now on, it’s mom-and-pop or Nothing. La Pizza and Pasta, you’ve got a fan.
Grazie mille, legends. <3 <3
By far the best pizza in Durham! My family and I have been coming to this place for years and it's perfect every time we order. The pizza is absolutely amazing and that garlic sauce is to die for!! I could literally swim in that garlic sauce it is so good. I 100% recommend this place and you won't be disappointed at all!
The pizza is authentic and tastes great. Especially the margherita.
Ordered from here tonight and this was absolutely fantastic. It was real Italian food. Not that canned pasta sauce garbage you get at places like eastside Mario’s that’s cooked by a guy named Sanjeev Singh. The delivery guy was absolutely awesome too and very friendly. Give that man a raise. Real one. I’m ordering here again for sure.
