My experience here was good overall.
Prices are very reasonable at $35 for a family hour. Make sure you bring cash for snacks/food, kids wanted some snacks from the candy dispensers but they were all empty or broken.
We organized a great birthday party experience here with 25 kids in attendance.
Ryan was super professional, courteous and helpful. He
accommodated almost all of our requests (including for dairy-free and vegan guests).
Everything was well organized.
The kids loved the bowling and party experience!
Highly recommended.
Our experience at Leisure Lanes was nothing short of frustrating. Weeks in advance, we contacted them to book lanes for a Sunday and were assured that it wouldn’t be busy, and we could come anytime. Trusting this information, we planned our outing, only to be kicked out at 5 PM because a league was coming in.
What’s worse is the absolutely terrible customer service. When the situation arose, they didn’t even try to rectify the issue or offer any solution. Instead, we were left feeling unwelcome and dismissed. It’s shocking that they failed to mention the league booking when we made our initial inquiry.
This lack of communication and poor handling of the situation ruined what should have been an enjoyable day. If this is how they treat their customers, we certainly won’t be back. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere.
Never again will I go there. Way too strict with the customers lack of space to move around food prices were high.
I remember going here with my friend bowling here once. It was the Super Bowl and he decided to go bowling. He also invited me to bowl with him. Then we went home and watched the Super Bowl on TV. The place is a shortcut to the plaza, 🥱*yawn*. However, the bathrooms can be a bit dirty though and if you need to go I suggest keeping it in. They are a bit too scary, too.
Fun bowling with friends and good music
Listen. Place itself isn't bad. Yelling at a 20 year old and treating them like a child and threatening to call the cops over them sitting on a ledge, however. I get that there was probably some safety concern, but not only was I already extremely anxious and jumpy, they sent two people out, didn't give me time to collect myself, and I felt ganged up on and harassed. Go for the bowling, but if you're thinking of interacting with what I could only assume were the managers, just... Don't.
I had a truly disappointing experience at Leisure Lanes on November 9, 2024. We were regular patrons who often visited with family and spent considerable money on our visits, but the way we were treated on this occasion was unacceptable.
Our group had spent $80 on a bowling lane, $15 on gaming machines (which ended up swallowing a portion of our money, and when I spoke to the bartender about it, she dismissively said it wasn’t her concern), and $3 on bowling socks. Additionally, we purchased drinks at the bar, further supporting the establishment. Despite being respectful customers who complied immediately when asked to hand over an outside alcoholic beverage, we were met with unnecessary aggression and hostility from the staff.
Michael was especially aggressive, demanding we leave without offering any warning. To make matters worse, one of the bar keepers—either Serena or Laura—was present and added to the unpleasant situation by yelling at me alongside Michael. The entire encounter was handled poorly and left us feeling disrespected and frustrated.
Adding to the disappointment, the bathrooms were dirty and lacked basic necessities like toilet paper. I had to yell through the stall and ask another guest to pass me tissue, and all they had was rough paper towel. This level of uncleanliness and lack of maintenance is unacceptable for a business that hosts families and regular visitors.
After this incident, I did a deep dive into the reviews for Leisure Lanes and noticed a large amount of feedback mentioning poor experiences with the bar keeper. She is frequently described as rude and disrespectful, and I am shocked that she still has employment here. Something must be done to address this recurring issue.
It’s incredibly disheartening to be treated in this manner by a place we had once enjoyed and supported. Owner Linda should be aware of how her establishment is being run and the way her staff interact with paying customers. It was a disappointing experience all around, and I wouldn’t recommend Leisure Lanes to anyone who expects to be treated with basic courtesy and respect.
Nice bowling alley. Way calmer vibe than Nebs.

Excellent staff and excellent service
Durhams best place to bowl. Started casually bowling in 2022 and haven't looked back since. I am here weekly working on my game. Now I have my own ball and shoes and enjoy all aspects of Leisure lanes. Take up bowling and enjoy this great location.
Great place for family or friends to have fun.
Very nice place with fun bowling
I went on a date here in the 80s. Was fun.
