Takeout - Pad thai had lettuce and was weirdly squishly, chicken wings were not that great.
We are used to a place in Toronto that is 45 minutes away. It is both Lao and Thai combined. We had tried a few places in Durham and none compared, until we found this restaurant!!!! Malinee's Thai House!!!! The food is really good. It compares and even surpasses most local and some Toronto restaurants. Portions are great. Price is fair. It's spice levels are just right. Each ordered item had its own distinct flavour, unlike some places where all the dishes taste the same. The reviews are correct, it is lacking in, and could use, a few more pieces of what ever protein you order. Service is always great. They are friendly and accommodating and because of this, and the above, it is our favourite Thai restaurant, East of Toronto!! Thank you Malinee !!! ❤️
Malinee’s Thai House is a quant little neighborhood joint run by the namesake owner as a family restaurant. It is no frills, affordable good food. The portion sizes are great for the price. Recommend the place for comfy Thai food. We got take out - Pad Thai, Red curry and Spicy basil; red curry was the favorite, do try.
Food is average. Owner is friendly.
Decent Thai food (halal) for reasonable prices. I wish there was little bit more chicken in the dish but I guess for the price it’s reasonable. Prompt service with smile and an attentive chef who cares. Probably one of the few restaurants where they would offer you bottled water as complimentary! Will go back again.
this is an authentic thai place run by thai gourmet chef...excellent if not quirky service, very clean place, food is to die for...i had the red curry #6 with fried spring rolls and it was better than the price commands.
Amazing service, very friendly, one of the best pad Thai I’ve had

We stumbled upon this restaurant on our anniversary. The service was excellent. The couple running the restaurant made us feel welcome. We were easily able to request vegan dinners. The spring rolls are filling! Also if they ask if you want the homemade dipping sauce - do it! It’s great!
Vegetarian options: Vegan food available. Spring rolls, green curry vegetables and pad thai without egg. If you ask they will add tofu.
Dietary restrictions: No meat or dairy

Her food is amazing. But she really needs to hire a person to take orders over the phone. She never answers and when she does she is very impatient and sometimes hangs up the phone before finishing the order.
Vegetarian options: She has many and I love all her food

This is a hidden Halal Thai Restaurant in Ajax. We ordered their Basil Spicy Chicken and the Red Chicken Curry. Both tasted great and authentic. I wish there were more chicken in the dish, but overall great. Spice level was amazing. The lady there, was really nice and lovely. All the dishes were reasonably priced compared to other Thai halal restaurants in GTA. I would come back here again and highly recommended.

One woman operation and it does not disappoint. I got the spring rolls, pad thai, and chicken pineapple curry (recommended by the owner). The spring rolls were crispy and stuffed full of flavour and the sauce was tangy, sweet, with a slight spice to round it out. The curry is creamy, flavourful, sweet, and a touch of spice. It is hands down some of the best curry I've ever had and the pad thai is 'chef's kiss'. I will definitely be going back. Those 3 dishes cost around $35-40 and will feed me for 3-4 meals.
