Great for a takeaway option, but they do have a bit of seating if you want to sit in!

The sample platter is so delicious! Love that they will have vegan vendors to promote in the store from time to time. They also sell frozen food and other stuff to take home.

This is my favourite restaurant ever!! The food is not only delicious, but all of the staff are so friendly and welcoming, and it's really a joy to come here. I wish I lived closer so I could come more often, but it's worth the drive just to come here when I can! Highly recommend the Bahn mi, best sandwich I've ever had :)

Despite what you all might think. Mathilda’s is not a restaurant, it’s a religion. The culinary wisdom disguised as ‘Mathilda’s helped me expand my flavour palette and what I’m mortally able to experience in the 3rd dimension. I just spent $100 dollars here for lunch. Because I live close? Because I can afford it? No. There was simply no other option. I walked into the restaurant, blacked out and walked out with $100 worth of unconditional love. I don’t even know how I got here or who I am anymore. All I can comprehend are vegan garlic knots and banh mi’s. I come home late at night and my wife thinks I have a gambling addiction, I hope one day she can understand the level of peace I feel when I empty my bank account at Mathilda’s. Namaste ??.

There aren’t too many restaurants that I’ve been to, where the food is amazing and the staff makes you feel like family… the good type of family, not the other kind.

Visited Mathilda's for the first time today! On first look, the store is very clean and organized. Service was great - staff were friendly and the process of ordering and getting food was well run. Food was absolutely delicious. I purchased the sample platter (enough for two meals!). I do not typically follow a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle, however, have recently had to remove dairy while breastfeeding, and thought I would check Mathilda's out. I will definitely be returning!

Amazing and friendly service, peaceful little seating area, best vegan food I've ever had! I got the small sample platter and I loved the variety, every item was fantastic and it was actually such a large and filling portion size!!

This was a chance experience for me, I had intended to go to the exotic candy store next door but it was shut (temporarily) so I decided to give it some time and stepped into Mathilda’s. Now, I’m not vegan but I do eat plant based often as it’s easier and less worrisome for me as I’m very allergic to dairy.
The food was excellent, flavourful and all had a great texture.
Mathilda introduced herself to me and it brought a real personal touch to the dining experience.
Will be back… oh and I did get the Vegan Kit Kat bar next door !
Dietary restrictions: I’m allergic to dairy and obviously this is no issue here!

I hadn’t been to Mathilda’s since my school days, but while in Oshawa, I decided to give it another try. I ordered the vegan Sweet & Sour Pork and the vegan Mongolian Beef, and both dishes were fantastic! The rice paired with the tahini hot sauce was a great combo, hitting all the right spots—sweet, spicy, and tangy. The food was fresh, and everything came together perfectly. I’ll definitely be back for more
