I should have read the other reviews before ordering from here, but the lady that handles payments really does tip herself a generous amount when you go to pay, even for takeout. It's ridiculous when the site already includes service fees for takeout (not using delivery apps, but their own site).
The food was ok, but not worth the money. If you have money to burn, they'll gladly take it from you.

I love going to Osaka! The prices can be a bit steep, but the food is always delicious and worth it. I usually go for the all-you-can-eat option—no matter how light I try to eat, I somehow end up spending close to $50 for just myself, so the $34 dinner deal makes more sense.
The staff—especially the lady and the gentleman behind the counter—are always super friendly and great to chat with. My go-to dishes are the Avocado Hand Roll and their “Out of Control Roll,” both of which are consistently fresh and flavorful.
The location is also super convenient, right near the bus stop at Simcoe and Bond. The only odd thing is that my bill often ends up about $10 more than I expect, even when I just order water—so double-check your totals.
Overall, though, Osaka is still one of my favorite spots in town for sushi!
Absolutely amazing place.they really struggled during covid, but they did everything in their power to stay open and keep providing quality food at good prices.
My gf has been ordering from there for a long time, and the lady always recognizes her voice even over the phone and is always super friendly and polite!
Couldn't suggest this place enough!
Horrible SERVICE!! I ordered their “shrimp tempura roll” and was served tempura vegetables to go. After receiving my order I went to a table to check the bag and was chased by the waitress screaming and telling me that I was not allowed to sit as I ordered take out. When questioned about the incorrect order the waitress rolled her eyes, shrugged her shoulders, and said “that’s tempura”.
I want to add that the restaurant was empty therefore if I did sit I was not preventing other customers from dining.
Food ended up taking bland.
This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The owner was aggressive and completely unprofessional from the start. She kept changing the prices of the food after we ordered, and when we questioned it, she became visibly irritated.
We planned to stay until their posted closing time of 9pm, but because we were the only customers left, she started trying to rush us out early so she could go home. When we calmly said we’d stay until closing, she completely lost control — she came to our table, started yelling, banging on the table, and demanded we pay and leave.
When we stood our ground, she escalated even further and THREW the menu at my friend’s face. At that point we felt unsafe and called the police. She instantly changed her behaviour and tried to act like we were the problem.
The entire experience was disgusting. No one deserves to be treated like this. This restaurant is abusive, unprofessional, and should be avoided at all costs.
I rarely write reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was beyond unacceptable. From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly rude and dismissive. I tried to ask a simple question about the menu, and instead of receiving help, I was met with sarcasm and attitude.
The situation escalated when one of the staff members actually hit me with the menu. Yes, hit me. I was completely shocked and disturbed by how aggressive and unprofessional they were. No apology, no explanation – just more rudeness.
This is not just bad service; it’s borderline assault. I strongly urge others to stay away from this place. There are plenty of other restaurants where you’ll be treated with basic human decency – this is not one of them.
Always look forward to going to Osaka for lunch. I have been here a number of times with co-workers and never disappointed. Both sushi and sashimi is great. Rolls are perfect and sashimi always fresh. Pleasantly surprised at the kick the wasabi has.
Staff is friendly and green tea cup is always full.
Thanks to @instanoodls for reminding me we should be supporting our local businesses when they do a great job!

I came in to have an all you can eat lunch experience, I came alone and the server said they don’t do all you can eat for only one person and when I asked why they said “the chef has a lot of side work”. The restaurant was empty I’m not sure what side work they were talking about and why they can’t do all you can eat as this place was recommended to me.
