“A number of years ago, we were skeptical when Papa John’s took over European Pizza. As regular Friday pizza customers, we were pleasantly surprised that prices stayed reasonable for quite some time. We especially appreciated the “Papa-sized” option that allowed you to turn a large into an extra-large for just a few extra dollars.

Recently, however, that option has been removed from walk-in specials, and the cost of an extra-large pizza that once fed our young family of four for around $20 is now closer to $30. We understand these changes are likely driven by corporate decisions rather than the local store itself, but the end result is still disappointing. We hope future pricing or promotions make it easier for families to keep this as a regular option.“
