This family run authentic polish food business has been an Oshawa staple for decades. We have enjoyed their food since we moved to the area in the 1980s. Still great food and friendly service.
The closest you'll find to a bar mleczny in southern Ontario, this classic counter service spot is unrivaled for its Polish delicacies. Garnished lavishly with sour cream and onion, the pierogis were freshly made and well priced. From its retro interior to its friendly proprietors, Polish Hot Food and Deli is a taste of the old world tucked away in a distinctly new world strip mall.
This place was recommended to me so I stopped in one evening. Woman welcomed me when I stepped into the small take out store front. She was friendly and patient. Service was quick and short wait for my order of 2 dinners with a side. Food wise, the cabbage rolls, perogies and sauerkraut were delicious. The meat - shish kebab and sausage were dry and disappointing. The buns were not fresh. Overall 50/50.
