This place has been around forever They have great fish & chips however on my last visit I was apauled on the cost. I understand everything has increased but $29 for 1 person to eat fish&chips with a drink...ridiculous Its unfortunate they have they have increased it so much and I will no longer be able to treat myself to my Friday Fish & chips at Schooners.

Worst french fries I have ever seen. Soaked in oil and mushy. Too much batter on the fish. Would definitely not recommend. Extremely disappointed.

Wanted a new gluten friendly place to treat my mom for her birthday. This was above and beyond our expectations! Service was extremly friendly, polite, extremely thoughtful, and well knowledged about celaic diease. The gluten free selection is wonderful, fish and chips, poutine, onion rings, corn dogs and more! They tasted just like the real thing, it was absoulte gluten free perfection! During our dinner they even brought over a bag of their gluten free mini donuts for my mum's birthday. So happy to have had such an amazing experience and kind genuine humans. Will for sure be going back!

The owner is a wonderful lady and I got the blue cod from NZ. I could say it is the best fish and chips in town, crispy yet light and fluffy. Melt in your mouth goodness! Definitely will come back for more

My wife and mother-in-law are both celiac so finding a dedicated gluten free option for fish and chips, onion rings, and even some desserts has been a treasure. The staff have always been friendly and accommodating.

First time trying this location and was most disappointed. The fish “looked” ok but did not taste right. It was mostly batter hardly any fish. The overall bag of food smelled “strongly oily” or like a burnt oil. Not appealing and not at all like fish and chips. The fries were dry and limp. I ordered gravy , they forgot to charge me or put it in, had to return to the store and was shocked at being charged $5 for it and the appearance was deep dark brown, very lumpy and barely warm, tossed the whole container. If the food had of been palatable the price was reasonable. The store appeared to clean. Would not visit again or try any similar chain store.

This place is excellent in general but absolutely outstanding if you are looking for gluten-free options! The fish and chips are amazing, regular and gluten-free! And don't get me started on the gluten-free donuts... They're so knowledgeable and take such great care to prepare food in a safe manner if you have dietary restrictions. One of the members of our family is celiac and this is our go-to fish and chips place! So happy that we live within 15 minutes. Thank you for providing an amazing and safe experience for the Celiac community ❤️

When I called before going, the woman who answered the phone was so nice and helpful. When we got there, the lady at the counter was not very nice at all. And the fish was wayyy overfried and I felt like I was eating rubber. And I didn't want to tell the lady working there because she already seemed so rude so we just pretended to like it. Will not be going back and do not recommend.

Amazing gluten free options, with care taken to prepare and package items away from non-gluten items. As a celiac I trust this restaurant 100%.

Excellent gluten-free food and dessert options!! Super-friendly and helpful staff. They have been in business for a long time, and there's a reason they're still around--they delight their customers!

Restaurant was clean, neat and organized when we entered. Fish itself taste-wise was great, but it was really mostly batter and the fish was overcooked (chewy). Prices were really not great though given how little fish is actually used. The worst part was the owner. Owner was conversing with me (likely the reason why the fish ended up overcooked) and started talking about immigrants, specifically how they are one of the only white people around anymore, and how our country is falling apart. Real rich stuff coming from a restaurant owner. Wouldn't really recommend coming back based on that interaction alone, I do not need that kind of negativity in my life.

Another thing I want to mention is the fact that most of the negative reviews are from the past two years and none of the ones from before then complain about the issues I've had. So i'm guessing Covid had something to do
