Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House - Oshawa

I’m putting a review of their business online. This is what I said; Busyness may soon end your business. I was humiliated being asked to leave and make room for other people after our group had eaten our meals and coffee’s spending over $70 and were visiting just over an hour and 20 minutes. This does not have the appearance of a fast food establishment. A table cleaner asked our party to leave the restaurant and though we were winding up this unpleasant experience will not entice me back. If the demand for our table was so urgent a manager should’ve offered our table a certificate towards our next visit, if they had wanted to accommodate a lineup. However it was put upon a table cleaning attendant to ask us to leave. Your lack in Business etiquette could end your busyness. I will not recommend your business

Went there with 3 friends at 12 noon on a Sunday with no reservations. Place was packed but they said about a 15-20 minute wait. They were pretty true to their word. Waitress was quick to approach us (sorry I didn't get her name). Ordered our food and did not wait long at all for our food to be ready. Food was phenomenal! Each of us ordered different things and there was not one complaint. Highly recommend.

Service was fast and the staff were friendly! Food was excellent!! Didn’t have to wait for a table but started to get really busy with long wait times after 30 mins of sitting

Our utensils were dirty. Server brought us new ones but they were also dirty. They had food and finger prints on them. When we complained the owner blamed his staff and said he would give them an extra 5 mins to make sure they are clean. He didn’t seem to really care. It was a terrible experience. I was sick for 2 days from eating there. I won’t go back. This was at the saint john, Lancaster location.

Attention Management:

The star I did offer, is for the welcoming hostess and our server. My review below is not reflective of them just so "management" knows and I made sure to tip generously despite the food being almost inedible and the $ spent not worth it. I now regret the 20% tip...but the state of the food (and pricing of subpar food) should not take away from the server.

I ordered the chicken and waffles. The "chicken" was most likely frozen flavorless nuggets, (barely cooked), cut up and placed on rather soggy, tasteless, spongey waffles. With a small sprinkling of green onions and flakes of cold (bagged-definitely not freshly grated) cheddar. The server said it's a "popular" dish when I asked her if I should order it. I can't imagine why this would be "popular".

My son ordered the cookies & cream pancakes. No flavour to the pancakes but thankfully-any flavour that was there came from the cookie crumbles and "icing" (?).

We don't eat out a lot but-when we do, we hope that what is outlined on a menu is what is actually served.

I also walked away regretting not just saving my $ and enjoying breakfast at home with fresh ingredients (not processed), flavour and some effort.

Heads up, if it's a cold day, sit halfway through the restaurant or you will freeze.

Mackenzie the servicer she was the best server I’ve had in a very long time, she was fast/ didn’t have us waiting for you long, was very friendly, and out going. She deserves all the stars not just the restaurant.

I got a meatlovers omelette with rye toast and a side chocolate pancake. I literally can't see how breakfast could get much better than that. 10 stars

We always enjoy this place! Excellent food, amazing service( our server was being trained, and she did a great job!!) Clean and bright and plenty of parking. We'll be back!

Find it hard to get refills here. Staff don't come back fast enough

I had an excellent experience here! The omelette was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and packed with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and it’s incredibly kids-friendly, which made dining with my little ones stress-free. The staff was amazing—so attentive, kind, and efficient. It’s clear they genuinely care about their guests. Highly recommend this place for a fantastic breakfast outing!

Amazing brunch spot! Great menu with lots of options. Our server Natasha was excellent and attentive. We will definitely be back!
