Love the Sugar Chalet product, but their customer service is NOT GOOD AT ALL!!! I always feel like I'm inconveniencing them when we go in to their shop. I NEVER feel welcomed and I feel like I'm bothering them by even being there. Why would they be annoyed when I come in prepared to spend $100 or more. It's a shame that they DO NOT VALUE their customers! Maybe they should sell there business to someone that can provide the same product and who cares about there customers. Very frustrating and I DO NOT like going there, but I tolerate the AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE just so I can buy there product. Is there anywhere else in Durham Region with a comparable product? I would love to give my money to a business that appreciates their customers deserves to do well! I recommend all of their products, but why are they so rude and seem so unappreciative of my business?? Find another bakery!!

What an experience here today , for the first time I lost my cool , I have dealt with this bakery for eight years , from my little loves baptism to most recently my flamingo cake in the summer , all of these I ordered through a guy , my misery started as I ordered from a female and most likely an owner as no one would ever say -I hope the cake falls on you , the cake was nothing like the picture and she got so upset and defensive when I said this , instead of using common sense and trying to keep her clients , she went to the back and was extremely arrogant , who wishes this on anyone , stay away guys or ensure you deal with the guy who is normally here , he will guide you properly And that way you will not be disappointed

Best gluten-free baked goods I have ever had. Nice staff, clean and tidy bakery. Just keep in mind that many gluten-free items need to be ordered in advance to allow them time to set-up their kitchen to ensure zero Cross contamination.

I had such a wonderful experience ordering from Sugar Chalet. Everything from the responsive communication to work out ideas to the ease of ordering and seamless pickup....Sugar Chalet did not disappoint. The cake exceeded expectations visually and the taste was top notch. Moist, flavourful and the perfect sweetness. Delicious! Highly recommend and I will only use Sugar Chalet in the future.

We have always had amazing customer services at sugar chalet! Cakes have always tasted amazing, (we always get the whipped cream which is light and the perfect amount of icing). The owners are wonderful, and they are so talented with what they can do with decorating the cakes! I will never go anywhere else.
I ordered a custom 60th birthday cake for my husband's celebration and they provided a stunning work of art! Colour matched my decor and even helped my to select the final design. I'm more than happy with the result and the service was top notch!

Worst customer service you’ll ever see i wish i could have provide negative starts pleas e try to avoid this place, if you buy 12 cupcakes but if you need 14 than they won’t give you lol
Updated after owner review: I will share my horrible experience at this place. I bought a cake and cupcake and paid for what I bought. When i had to choose cupcake, person giving cupcake was making weird faces and person working back was commenting on everything rudely. Since i was running late, i paid for cake and cupcake then i realized it might not be enough for the amount of people. So i asked for few more cupcakes, but he refused to give me more cupcakes even though he had so many. Since he was refusing to give more cupcakes due to policy, i kindly asked if i can return 6 cupcakes and buy another cake instead ( FYI: cupcake bought was not opened, not touched, didn’t eat, and we were still at the location). Also we did not force him to take back the cupcake as we were okay with all the situations. The only concern we had was the behaviour we faced at the store, which is why we posted in comment instead of acknowledging customer feedback, he put the false allegation on us stating CUSTOMER ATE CUPCAKES AND RETURNED. Don’t know why replying back to each negative comments with worst replies instead of trying to improve themself.

The best cake in Durham!! Only cake that finishes entirely when we order for a party! Can’t recommend them enough. We got this cake for $60. As a mom of 3 on a budget, the price was great for a customized cake with a character. I’ve had their cupcakes, cookies, and you’ll not be disappointed with anything you buy there. Thank you Sugar chalet for accommodating this order that I made 3 days before the party. My son loved it!!!
