The Godfather of the Grill is in Whitby / Brooklin! The food was delicious - we ordered the Sampler which was a very generous portion, so much that we brought home yummy leftovers. Creative menu with lots of options. Service was friendly, helpful and quick. The Joint was clean with a great view; decor is quirky. I used to go to the El Dorado when it was a Mexican restaurant. Would recommend, as there is more to discover, and will go back!
Our table shared the Sampler Tray, fantastic! The brisket was melt in your mouth flavour, the bbq chicken was so moist and zesty, the pulled pork was perfection, the sausages were just enough zing to wake your tastebuds! Potato salad and coleslaw were soo good! Fabulous way to try a bit of everything from the menu!
What an awesome place food was absolutely amazing, music was perfect We've found our regular hangout
Everything was amazing!! But I wouldn't be paying $22 for the size of the Cesar salad again - for the price I assumed it would feed the whole table but unfortunately it was only big enough for 1 person.
Always an amazing experience! The food is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The live music on Fridays adds a special touch — it's the perfect way to kick off the weekend
I had very high hopes for this place given Ted's popularity in the BBQ world. However the disappointment started early and got worse as the meal went on. Upon arrival I went to use the washroom before sitting at the table and found it dirty, no soap and no hand towels. Right away a massive red flag from a health a safety standpoint but I decide to move on. We go to place our order and before we even start we are told that they are sold out of 1 of the specials and 2 of the regular menu items. This place just opened up for Saturday lunch, how the hell are you sold out of Ribs and Brisket calzones? You have a full weekend ahead of golfers and restaurant patrons ahead of you and you are sold out. The food we did order showed up cold, lacked flavor (Yard Bird Chicken sandwich and pulled pork sandwich) and the Brisket was so tough and dry you could have formed it into a pair of shoes. If I had to guess, I would wager that we were served BBQ from the day prior and it wasn't cooked fresh that morning. All in all I was very disappointed and would not recommend this place. There are much better, more authentic BBQ joints in the GTA.

Very disappointed with our experience at The Joint. We were looking forward to our meal here, but will not be returning or recommending it to others. The potato salad as well as the mac and cheese were very good. The rest? Dry or flavorless. The brisket was very dry, I suspect it had been made a few days prior and reheated. Chicken also dry but ok if you dipped it in gravy. The handicap bathroom right next to the kitchen had no soap or paper towel even after I saw a staff member come out of there (mistakenly thinking they had perhaps cleaned/replenished the bathroom).
The joint I think everyone there smoking joints had a nice round of golf finished at 7:15 sat down and ordered food nothing too crazy brisket sandwich two pizzas and a pound of brisket to go seemed pretty good after half an hour still haven’t gotten any food. We moved outside made sure to let the waitresses know and confirm that they had our order. OK it’s not their fault. The place is run by a bunch of teenagers.. Anyways, after an hour and 15 minutes still no food and they let me know that my order was never even placed pretty ridiculous Ted reader at least I got the taste of barbecue sauce lol probably placed a $200 order who knows it was two pizzas, brisket sandwich and a pound of brisket how hard could it? Go golfing and eat somewhere else
Stay home and make a pizza go anywhere else at least the music was good maybe eat before you go!

Service: we ordered our drinks and dinner fairly soon after we arrived (within 10 mins), but we waited over an hour and a half for the pizza to come and when it did, it was burnt but we were so hungry we ate what we could. When our pizza arrived, we were informed that they could not make our other entrees (3 in total) because they were out. We couldn't help wonder if this information could have been provided to us earlier so that a different option could have been offered. This whole situation could have been avoided with clear communication and anticipation of the shortage of ingredients for our food choice. We have dine here before so it very well could have been a one off. I will be back as they were gracious and kind.
The service was lacking, we made reservations were seated at 5pm placed orders and the 40min later were told something we ordered wasn't available... No brisket for a brisket pizza but still brisket for a sandwich? Made no sense no explanation provided even when asked. We finally got our food at 6:40 almost 2hrs after being seated. At this point we were all too upset to enjoy our meals. We arrived eager and excited and left very disappointed.

Like many I really wanted to like this place but honestly it was just very mediocre. Yet again another suburban restaurant that’s hyped up way more than it should be. If you’re into being served by Gen Z staff who just stare at you blankly with zero personality or acknowledgement this might be your scene.
Parking is a nightmare which is wild considering it’s both a golf course and a restaurant. You’d think they’d plan for enough spots to accommodate guests but apparently not.
There was lovely live music outside which sounded great but unfortunately we were seated inside and had to listen to the most random Spotify shuffle playlist that had absolutely nothing to do with the vibe of the restaurant. Just weird and distracting.
The food was okay. We tried the sampler tray and it was fine but nothing memorable. The pizza however was genuinely great and ended up being the highlight of the whole meal. The drinks were disappointing though. We ordered a ginger ale and a 7Up and both were completely watered down and tasted horrible.
Also our table was bumped into by a waiter at least 15 times. Clearly the space is too tight and way too close to the bar. That table really needs to be moved.
Overall not terrible but not worth the hype either.

Super loud band outside and both our orders had jalapeño which we had asked to leave off. Offered to remake it, but we had already waited 30 mins for the food

Good vibes. Quick service and the waitresses were checking in very often. I ordered a tequila sunrise which was made well.
Based off previous reviews that I read on here, it looks like their team has taken that feedback and improved their services. I like that! I would definitely return and bring a few friends.

Going downhill. Once a favorite outdoor BBQ restaurant. the quality is not there anymore. Drinks are pitiful food quality down and no more ribs on the menu. Service by 17 yr olds who don’t know what they are doing
