Everything runs like a tight ship from the entry line to the dining room staff to the kitchen.
Kudos to the owners, management & especially the kitchen & wait staff.
Quality food, consistently great everything
I have tried this restaurant a few times before making this review. The food here is decent and I love the way prepare meat especially peameal bacon.
However, while this place had the potential to be to become my favourite breakfast and dinning place in Oshawa it comes short when it comes to treating the customers which is the most important thing to me.
The sad reality is that the staff treat people of color and basically people that are not white differently and they don’t even try to hide that well. So if u are not white I would not recommend u coming to this place. And if u r, it is going to be ur favourite place.
we went for lunch and the food was fantastic. I had the turkey dinner. too much for me to finish but everything was great. real turkey, nice stuffing, great mashed potatoes. service was excellent! prices were good too.
AWESOME food and GREAT service!!!!!
Food was great, as always.
Shelley was fantastic!
Excellent service and the turkey dinner was amazing thank you.
I've been coming to Teddy's for many years and the quality never waivers. One of my favorite spots.
All round great portions and food. Staff was very friendly and sociable.
Placed my pick up order online with ease at approx 405pm. 30 min estimate pick up time. Arrived 10 mins early and my food was already in the hot box. After opening bags at the register, I saw 1 of the salads I ordered was missing. The staff quickly verified and packed another salad. I should have opened all the boxes. 2 of the orders which were chicken fingers and fries with gravy and hot roast beef sandwich with fries and gravy were missing the gravy on the fries. They were just dry fries I thought maybe they packed gravy on the side but nothing in food container or bag. The liver Dinner and Hot Roast beef open faced were lacking gravy. My partner didn't care but my roast beef was so dry, even the Texas toast was dry at the bottom the gravy didn't make it all over.
The chicken fingers came with the tiniest plum sauce container and didn't have enough for all the chicken to dip. The Buffalo wrap was also lacking sauce. Everything was just very dry. Maybe cause it was take out, I'm not sure.
Over all flavour was good, but price for quality wasn't great and missing items have me wondering why order if they are forgetting items and I have to check everything before leaving .
This is the iconic family restaurant. Everyone knows about it and has been there. They don't sell alcohol, but it is a place for all ages. It's been here for as long as I can remember, and it is still just as good as I remember. If a family is looking for a place to eat. I'd highly recommend this place. However, make sure you don't go during rush hour. Like I said, this place has been here for a long time and gets crazy busy sometimes. You may be waiting for a long time if you go during those busy times. But they try and get you seated fast. With all that said, I still highly recommend this place for families.

Family restaurant at it's finest. We've tried many of the sandwiches and none have disappointed.
Staff are all happy and friendly.
Always a good meal.
Cheers.
Hadn't been to Teddy's for some time. Instantly remembered the homemade soup. (Chicken/Veg) delicious, as usual!
We had the Chicken Parm and the Hamburger Steak with onions, gravy, and mash. It was great! Chicken parm quite good, sauce could use use more flavour.
Coconut cream pie was the best I've had in a very long time...and it was huge!
I recommend Teddy's.
Always a great place to stop when we leave the city. Great food, great service.
Today was my first visit to Teddy's. I was impressed by the well-kept grounds and the charming interior, filled with vintage photos of Hollywood icons like Marilyn Monroe and Humphrey Bogart — a lovely, classic touch. The relaxing '80s music playing in the background added to the retro vibe and created a warm, inviting atmosphere. Great mix.
Unfortunately, the experience was soured by the hostess, Dana, who was wearing perfume. As someone sensitive to fragrance, the chemical cocktail immediately triggered a headache and left a metallic aftertaste in my mouth. She passed by our table several times throughout the meal, and the lingering scent significantly took away from what could have been a pleasant dining experience. In a setting where food is being served, staff should be expected to follow a fragrance-free policy. Much like the smell of cigarette smoke, artificial scents have no place near food.
The saving grace of our visit was our server, Cheryl. She was warm, attentive, and efficient. Her recommendation of the buffalo chicken wrap was spot on — my boyfriend loved it. While my Chicken Caesar platter was average (a choice I made myself), Cheryl’s exceptional service stood out.
Overall, Cheryl was the highlight of the visit, while Dana’s fragrance left a disappointing and unnecessary impact. I recommend that management implement a clear fragrance-free policy for staff to help ensure a more comfortable and inclusive atmosphere for all guests.
Good food but way too overpriced. 2 sandwiches cost $31. If this were a fancy restaurant / fine dining establishment the price would be justified but pastrami bread and mustard shouldn’t cost $15
