I had HEARD about Teddy's and understood it was "worth the wait" but W•O•W!! The fun staff, the portions of AMAZING food, simple, but elevated and delicious and LOTS. How fast the food came to your table after ordering, how attentive our server was - and she had a lot of people at a lot of tables in her section (as did every other server with their sections) Totally worth the wait, the inability to make reservations, and the drive to Oshawa. No problem finding a parking spot in their parking area too - keeping in mind there was ALREADY a line up out the door at the time we arrived.Kid-friendliness: There's a GREAT kids menu. They offer free Sunday's I think for the kids menu. There was a wide range of diners - but easily a third of them were parents with kids of all ages who were ALL loving what they were eating and drinking.

Sherry pur server is Amazing. The food and the prices are so amazing. You will not be disappointed. Ask to be seated at Sherrys section she will not disappoint.
We recently had dinner here with the whole family. The food was absolutely excellent. Just wonderful homemade food with huge portions. I did have an issue with the pie that I took home, but I called and the manager spoke to me and was fantastic about it. Our only issue was our server who was quite unpleasant and a little rude, however the food was worth it. We will definitely be back.

This is absolutely nothing to write home about. Took my 11yr old and my husband for our daughter’s birthday today for lunch . There’s no kids menu . It’s very expensive. We had water thrown on the table, pop came quick . We ended up ordering fries , poutine and a ceasar salad. The ceasar salad was pretty basic ( fake bacon bits and store bought croutons ) , the poutine was cold and the fries were mediocre at best . For $50 , we could have gone anywhere else and got better food . No idea how this place is lined up and so busy all the time. Definitely a one and done! We also had minimal service!

I tried the roast beef dip, and let me tell you, it was piled high with tender beef and coupled with a flavorful au jus. The bread was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside—just the way you want it. The accompanying potato salad was creamy and fresh, a great compliment to the sandwich. My husband had the corned beef cabbage soup to start, followed by a philly steak sandwich. Both amazing choices!!!Teddy's also offers a variety of desserts, including homemade pies, try the strawberry!!!Overall, Teddy's Restaurant and Deli is a great spot to grab a meal if you're in the area. This place was a gold mine for years lined up down the street since new owners have taken over its has gone way down hill the food is garbage prices are just outrageous now the place is filthy this is what happens when new owners try to fix something that was never broken it worked for 40 years. I ate here at least once a week now I will never come back and i have family that works here so I know the changes that have been made no longer an oshawa landmark just a huge disappointment now. BTW my family member is one of the original employees and has been therefore over 40 years

I came with my eldest sons family, five of us, for my birthday dinner, I always get the liver dinner as it’s something I wouldn’t cook for myself, but unfortunately it was disappointing, much smaller quantity, liver was tough, service was way over attentive, like they just wanted us to pay and leave, even though the restaurant was half empty? I have lived in Durham Region for a long time, not sure if I will visit again!
