We were here for brunch on the weekend. The service was very quick and efficient. The portions are huge and reasonably priced. My food however wasn't great. There were eggshells in my omelette and the mushrooms were barely cooked. I really wanted to like the food, but was disappointed.

I always love a good triple-decker club sandwich. I prefer with chicken but if the turkey is cooked properly and fresh, I enjoy that as well. A turkey sandwich was $15, the french fries were another $5. I guess I'm getting used to paying ridiculously high prices for restaurant food so therefore I'm only able to eat out once a month and I am truly hoping the experience will be a memorable one. I have congestive heart failure and as the symptoms present themselves, I have been unable to work full-time for over a year. Needless to say, I definitely need the money more than any of the people that would have found it. My funds are extremely limited and I wouldn't be able to survive without the generosity of our federal and provincial governments and are wonderfully generous local food banks. Not to mention my current landlord and best friend. I will not accuse the staff or a patron of what I experienced but I don't see how it could have happened any other way. I had two hundred dollar bills in my upper coat pocket where I keep my glasses. I hope it's not the case, but I'm pretty sure those bills fell out without me noticing as I pulled my glasses out of my pocket. As the waitress did not bring napkins or cutlery right away, I had to head into the bathroom to grab paper towels from the dispenser to blow my nose. When I came back the only thing I noticed that wrenched my heart out and filled me with fear was the $200 bills were missing. Once again, no proof here but the staff's help seemed suspicious and disingenuine. One of those sixth Sense things which in my life are rarely wrong. And finally, the fries had a foreign taste to them. They didn't taste like seasoned french fries from a diner with many years experience. They just tasted off and I didn't enjoy them. So after tip and tax, a $27 club sandwich. I won't be returning.

I never felt the need to write a review for The White Apron because they have always had outstanding reviews. We’ve been coming there for years and we’ve always left with having had an amazing experience between food and family. I am writing today because I witnessed something a couple of weeks ago with other patrons of the restaurant. Another customer had made modifications to her omelette, which she was advised at the time would not mix well. As we were seated near them, we also overheard them saying they had ordered far too much food and would return the omelet with the excuse that it tasted bad. Do NOT believe this review for one moment. The White Apron is by far one of the best breakfast places we have ever frequented

This restaurant has ruined all other breakfast restaurants for me. It is THE BEST! Absolutely nothing else in Durham Region compares to the food here. Truly homemade from scratch, extremely generous portions, and the quality is top notch. What I appreciate most is that they are always consistent. It doesn't vary day by day, every time you go, the food is exactly the same, and absolutely delicious. Anytime we have guests in town, we take them here and everyone is always blown away with how good it is. If you love French toast, their panko crusted French toast is soooooo good! Moved to Oshawa in March. The first breakfast restaurant we went to. Very very busy but amazing. The staff is great, always very happy and social, you can watch the food being prepared and it is excellent! I have had many items from the menu and everything is top notch! Christine is always welcoming and now remember our drink order and just brings them right to us. Cannot think of any place better for breakfast, brunch or lunch!!!

Absolutely delicious Crab Egg's Benedict for two. Amazing and quick service. A special shout out to our server who was very attentive, friendly, and efficient. We can't wait to come back. 😁
Honestly the best breakfast place in Durham. Reasonable prices, great portions, tonnes of options. Been going for over 5 years now, tried almost the whole menu, every single item was delicious. I’ve seen a few reviews with low ratings saying to saying the complete opposite but I see no basis of where there review comes from. The service is so perfect, very hometown diner feel. Very welcoming, very family friendly. If you start going frequently enough they remember your order to the point I don’t use a menu anymore. I can’t stress it enough, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GEM OF AN ESTABLISHMENT!
