It's sad it's closed for good
Our go to spot! Never disappointed.
Great stuff!
I went to Archie's Grill for catering for my daughter's birthday. What an experience, seriously one of the kindness and most caring restaurant owners I have ever had the pleasure of ordering from. The food was amazing and everyone, I mean everyone at the party could help but comment on the amazing food. It's not every day, or ever to be honest, that I leave a review.. I really felt compelled to ... Thank you Mike for making my daughter's birthday a success, you will certainly be hearing from me again. Best wishes for your continued success.
We were starving and cranky. Ready to eat anything. So we were so pleasantly surprised by the start-from-scratch homemade burger and outstanding and generously-portioned Greek chicken wrap. (should only have eaten one half but it was too good not to devour the whole thing.) Delicious food in this simple, family-run little place! Will definitely make a point of stopping by again!
THE DRAMA THAT COMES WITH IT !!!
A quick stop turned into a lovely hang out where I shared my Zsolt Sauce and Mike shared his amazing Tzatziki! It started with a couple order of fries and onion rings, which then turned into burgers, more fries and follow by a
gifts of fries, the Mother Clucker chicken sandwich and three slices of the Coconut Cream Pie. The flavouring in the burgers were to die for, the pie was the size of your head and delicious and the chicken sandwich was great. The 7 year old in our caravan of festival-goers finished 2 small fries who never finishes one! So well made, that we ate the leftovers three days later and they were STILL tasty!
It will be a regular stop to say hi to Mike, Heather and Nick and I forget the daughters name, but they are all a great crew!
Spent $50 and they gave me soggy French Fries from the day before
Thickest burger in Durham easily, foods tasty the oil used for the fries was fresh lol overall not to shabby
Archie's is not in a part of Oshawa that I usualy find myself in. Were it not for having a coupon, I likely would not have heard of it, let alone gone there. It is certainly unassuming, to say the lest. Ordered 2 chicken souvlaki dinners. Well, they turned into 2 souvlaki dinners, breakfests and lunches for us. Was more than surprised at the quantity of food I came away with. My wife said that the Greek salad was the best she ever had. The potatoes were delicious as were the souvlaki. Well worth the journey.
