It's nice that they have a separate vegan menu, and our waiter was vegan! The nachos were super fresh, loved the cheese dip. My favourite taco was the sneaky cauliflower, but the sweet potato one was really good too. We were able to keep our dogs on leash outside the patio.

Food was good but they charge you unethically. We ordered crispy cauliflower bowl and burritos. Waiter just asked us would you want it spicy and we said sure. Turns out all of us were charged $2 extra and we were told spicy is sneaky cauliflower. What a great way to sneak it in your bill. We just paid but never going again. Nice way to over charge your customers.

I tried the tacos, and though they were tasty, they felt underwhelming for the price. Speaking of price, Casero is undeniably on the pricier side. The portions are noticeably small, which made the cost feel unjustified. For example, two tacos and a side set me back more than I’d typically spend at other Mexican restaurants where the servings are heartier and the flavors more memorable. It’s hard to shake the feeling that you’re paying a premium for the trendy atmosphere rather than the food itself. Overall, Casero Kitchen Table is worth a one-time visit if you’re curious or in the area, but it’s not a place I’d rush back to. There are better options for tacos and Mexican food elsewhere that offer more generous portions and bolder flavors for a fraction of the price. If you’re looking for a special occasion spot, this might work, but for everyday dining, it doesn’t quite hit the mark.
