We enjoyed the hour we spent at Frogpond over coffee and muffins. Right downtown Owen Sound, friendly staff, quick service, nice selection of goodies and sandwiches.

Cheap food and expensive prices? I got the chicken, roasted red pepper and got cheese and it was a literal joke. Burnt to a crisp and filled with what looked and tasted like a warmed up freezer bag of processed chicken. I got a double fruit (peach and mango) smoothie for 8 dollars. Flavour was not apparent. Heavily tasted like yogurt? Milk? Maybe vanilla? I’m really not the type to review but I’m girlfriend was so embarrassed for the cafe she smuggled our leftovers to the garbage so the employees didn’t see that nothing was eaten. Ridiculous, very unhappy, will not return

I can't comment on the food or coffee, but the vibe didn't appeal to me. The interior is dark wood and a bit stark, not inviting. Much of the seating is large tables fit for groups, or restaurant style booths. If you're looking for a cozy, relaxing coffee shop vibe then Frog Pond might not suit you (it didn't me). But if you go there in a group or don't care about the restaurant vibe, then it might just what you're looking for. Each to their own!

Came in after a day out with my daughter shopping to sit down and eat. We ordered two sandwiches and a cappacino , I was really hungry. I had to wipe the table down it was dirty and wet, before sitting , the man brought my coffee and sandwiches , I got half way through my sandwich and only had a few sips of my coffee which wasn’t cheap price wasn’t an issue as I wanted something nice. My daughter accidentally spilled my entire coffee on my sandwich a lady came over and asked if I wanted the coffee drained out of my sandwich and helped clean up the mess I was really upset as I was hungry and was looking forward to my meal. To ask if I wanted coffee drained out of my sandwich was strange. Didn’t ask if I wanted a new sandwich or a new coffee. Very disappointed as someone who works in the food industry I would have asked if I could remake the coffee or sandwich they let me sit there with nothing until my child was done eating. Probably won’t be back. Accidents happen especially with kids. But also as a previous manager I would have asked to remake, as these things happen. Especially when spending $30 on food and tipping on top.

coffee tasted burnt, music was very loud, decor is haphazard.

However the high ceilings and abundant natural light were pleasant and the service quick and friendly.

I had a really disappointing experience at this cafe. I ordered an iced matcha latte, but it tasted super watery and looked nothing like a proper matcha — it was a pale, dull green instead of the vibrant color it should be. I asked if they could remake it because it honestly had no flavor. Instead of making a new one, they just poured some out of the original cup and added more matcha powder to it. It didn’t help — it still tasted off and wasn’t enjoyable.

To make things worse, I also got a caramel cookie, and there was a hair baked right into it. I tried to pull it out, but it was caramelized into the cookie. Absolutely gross.

Food and beverage was fantastic!! The naan and panini we tried were better than most sit down restaurants I've been to.

I was expecting more options for baked goods, but the cookies we got were also delicious.
