We had an outstanding dinner tonight at Shanny's! We're still talking about he delicious meal, and the service was fantastic. Loved the fresh but cozy atmosphere as well. Owen Sound has been missing this level of dining and I wish you many years of success.

Nice vegan option for our one friend and the rest of us got the fresh parpadelle which was incredible. Yummy drinks/wine and a cool eclectic vibe. Seats are a bit uncomfortable, but you can’t have it all.

Definitely a 5 out of 5. Our first time there and we were not disappointed. We were immediately met by Mason who was our server and he was extremely attentive, polite, friendly and quick.
We ordered the scallops and muscles for appetizers and we have never had a more perfectly cooked and generous serving. I could have drank the delicious sauce that came with the muscles.
Next was the main course. Another very generous amount, served with fresh vegetables cooked to perfection on a delicious mashed potatoes flavoured with feta cheese and spices. Delicious!
We had so much food that we had to take the rest home. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert but there was an excellent assortment of seasonal options that we are definitely going to try on our next visit.
A must visit restaurant in the heart of downtown Owen Sound!

One of the nicest meals I have had in a long time. What a beautiful location. The staff were wonderful and the food was delicious.
I don't see 5 stars we had a good main ( tenderloin ) but the shareables were less than I would have expected at this price, The portions are small and underwhelming. Our server was pleasant but didn't know the menu ( I'm sure she was new and learning ) Tables chairs and Restrooms also get 3 stars. $$$

Being from out of town I think the 5 star status is a but generous. For owen sound I think having options with super local food is a great addition to the downtown. The service was interesting, our gal was great but the hostess was a bit rude to us and another guest which was off putting. The food was alright… the pasta I had was honestly not great, the prawns it was paired with didn’t really go with the dish - my party had better dishes and we would recommend the fish dishes if you were to dine yourself. The prices of the restaurant reflect the quality of the ingredients but felt expensive for the overall experience we had. Would recommend making a reservation, we went on a Wednesday and the dining room was all booked. The patio was an interesting experience.
