We had dinner as a group of eight last weekend at our favourite Owen Sound restaurant and as always, had the loveliest experience. Everyone’s food was delicious and beautifully presented. Our server was excellent and the atmosphere was lively and fun. However, the most exciting thing for me personally - the owners have installed new seating throughout the restaurant! Yay!! Their old seating looked fabulous but wasn’t comfy for a long meal. The new chairs are stylish and soooo comfortable!! Thank you Shannon!! Fantastic addition to an already wonderful dining experience. You’ve had our loyalty from the beginning but this is the cherry on the sundae!

This place is amazing. We found it by chance and by its reviews and didn't regret it. The food was perfect. For the eye and the taste. It has little for kids, our son ate what he liked from our plates, an option would have been nice. The Orange & Olive Oil Cake was a delight. The service was spot on. Very friendly and attentive.

Our experience was exceptional. Friendly service from start to finish. We enjoyed the caprese salad and crab for apps. Mains were an out of this world pappardelle pasta and the chicken with gnocchi and root vegetables. We loved the ambiance of the dining area. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I just happened to stumble across it as I was passing through Owen Sound. I seldom come across a restaurant where the flavours of the food unfolds in layers, like taste buds lighting up that you didn’t even know you had 😀 I ordered the Pear Salad and the Warm Turkey Sandwich with soup (sweet tomato soup). Everything was just incredible!! I also got the Orange Olive Oil cake for dessert and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is beautiful. Now, I’m just waiting for the next time I make my way through Owen Sound.

Wow — Shanny’s Kitchen in Owen Sound absolutely blew us away!
Every single bite was a total flavour explosion. We started with the caramelized onion and apple cider vinegar soup, and honestly — if comfort and creativity had a baby, this would be it. Rich, tangy, a little sweet, and totally addictive.
Then came the corned beef sandwich on toasted sourdough — stacked high with tender beef, braised cabbage, Dijon, and a touch of BBQ sauce. Smoky, sharp, and melt-in-your-mouth perfection! The halloumi, black bean & sweet potato wrap was equally amazing — hearty, bright, and packed with fresh, satisfying textures. And we can’t forget the house-made fries — golden, salty, and absolutely irresistible.
Just when we thought it couldn’t get better, the cardamom & carrot crème brûlée arrived. One crack of that golden sugar top, and boom — pure magic. Warm spice, silky custard, and the kind of dessert you’ll think about for days.
Our server Sarah was very friendly and helpful! Shanny’s Kitchen is an absolute gem — inventive, soulful, and full of heart. Run, don’t walk, to this spot!

Yo, we rolled up to Shanny’s, hungry and bold, Owen Sound flavor, pure heart, pure soul. Soup on the mic — caramelized heat, Apple cider vinegar, can’t be beat.
That corned beef sandwich, yo, stacked real high, Toasted sourdough reachin’ up to the sky. Braised cabbage, Dijon, BBQ bite, We took one bite — boom! — love at first sight.
Then them house fries, salty and crisp, Golden like sunshine, can’t resist. Halloumi wrap got that veggie groove, Black bean, sweet potato, makin’ moves.
And that cardamom crème brûlée, sweet sin, Crack that top — let the magic begin. Spice and silk, dessert on fire, Flavors that tease, tempt, and inspire.
But hold up — gotta give the crown, To Sarah, the queen of Owen Sound. Smilin’ bright, movin’ smooth, pure grace, She ran the floor like she owned the place.
From the food to the vibe, five stars no doubt, At Shanny’s Kitchen, that’s what it’s about. Flavor so real, we’ll be back for more, Shanny’s — and Sarah — forever we adore!

Our table was at the front window and we felt it was the best seat in the house. Sarah was very, very good at her job; she had helpful suggestions and did not rush us. I had the Chicken Supreme, tasty and plentiful, my dining partner enjoyed a pasta dish that she ate to the last bite. We opted for dessert and I had a carrot cardamom creme brulee, delicious and my friend had the chocolate tart( pie) that she quite enjoyed. Just a special meal all round.
