Nice location. Kind server. The food was so-so though. My steak got too much sauce and was more like medium well done though I asked for Medium-Rare. The burger pad in the kids burger was a good thick portion and grilled on point with pink inside.. Unfortunately the meat is barely seasoned at all and did not taste real fresh. The Georgian bay white fish was quite dry.

My only regret is not tipping more on my bill , amazing food and will bring a crowd when possible , great place and pleasant staff! 10/10 recommend.

Quick, friendly service with food that doesn’t disappoint! I would recommend the suicide wings as an appetizer. I had mine naked with suicide sauce; it was crispy and flavourful and genuinely ‘hit the spot.’ The Thai Ranch Wrap was excellent; once again, very crisp and fresh chicken was used inside the wrap. The sweet potato fries were spot on!

First time eating at this restaurant, and honestly the last. We arrived for our reservation at 7pm, placed our orders with our waitress around 7:15pm, and didn't receive our appetizers until 745 pm. Our mains didn't arrive until almost 830 pm. Me and my boyfriend ordered the tortellini, and the Alfredo sauce was the same consistency as milk - super watery. It looked more like a tortellini soup. My step daughter ordered the Fettuccini in marinara from the kids menu, and recieved tortellini in Alfredo sauce. After waiting an hour and a half for our meal we had to wait again to have the proper pasta made for her. We should have left 45 minutes in, but we wanted to give the restaurant a chance, and were hopeful that our mains would be worth the wait. I didnt like how We weren't told until my step daughter's food arrived, that they didn't serve the Fettuccini noodles anymore and haven't updated that detail on the kids menu. That would have been good to know upon ordering. After all that we were billed $180. We did bring our concerns to our waitresses attention, and The manager took $45 off our bill which I appreciate, but realistically the mains should have been free considering how long we waited. The appetisers weren't bad though - the wait for them was ridiculous. I hate complaining. But this was such a bad experience. Maybe we got there on an off day, I'm unsure. But we had high expectations considering the good reviews, unfortunately we weren't as lucky as other customers.

Really good food and first rate service. I had the Georgian Bay Whitefish and the daily soup - both excellent. Service was prompt and unobtrusive - a really friendly feel to the place and comfortable seating. Good wine selection.

The food is the best you’ll find in Owen Sound. 5+ stars for taste, freshness, portion size, and value. The smothered chicken is absolutely amazing. I have to give only 3 stars because it’s so difficult, and sometimes impossible to order takeout. We are seniors and have not dined in a restaurant for almost 3 years. So we rely on takeout service. We also do pick up rather than Skip, because we know the costs to restaurant owners. Many (many) times I’ve tried to place a takeout order with Sizzlin only to be told to call back later. When I do call back later, the calls go directly to voicemail. So now it’s two hours later, and I have to make other dinner plans. The food is amazing, but if you’re planning to order takeout, make sure to have a Plan B ready.

My wife and I had a lovely first visit here. We definitely ordered more than we needed as there are lots of delicious sounding app's, sides, and entre's available on their menu. We ended up getting a pulled pork poutine with the coconut shrimp to start. Followed by a ribeye with garlic parmesan fries, and their steak sandwich with a cesar salad. We had a very nice waitress who was friendly, approachable. Most certainly a recommended stop for a mouth water dinner.

Parking: Parking is limited to street and TD parking lot across the street. There is paid parking lot available across the street as well.

The Service was very bad. The waitresses were more busy with other things instead of to take care of the customers. We just finished with the meal an got the check. That's a no go. The restaurant could be more cleaned up. The Whitefisch was yummy

I think the restaurant is understaffed... The waitress was very nice but the service was very long. Food was ok but not crazy. Don't go there if you have kids.

Food was delicious. Staff was friendly. They were short staffed in the kitchen but that seems to be part for the course these days.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. What an amazing restaurant-truly. Our food was exceptional- the Asian salad with the pears was one of the best salads we have ever eaten, and my homemade burger was exceptional. My wife had the fish and loved it too. My brother in-law has Huntington's disease and struggles to eat. The chef Brett made up a special meal for him and we were so grateful. The portions were huge and everything was delicious. The best part for us though, was easily the service. The owner named Paul came and spoke with us at the table. He was so kind and assured us that my brother in law should feel as comfortable as every other patron of his, and made sure he did. The chef Brett came from the kitchen and made sure everything was good. We will be back, and we are telling everyone we know to go there.-review by Glenn Haldane
