River's Edge at the Arlington

We just had an amazing staff party at River’s Edge. The food was sensational. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The venue is stunning.

My fiance and I went for a tour on Saturday. We were met by Taylor the sales manager and event coordinator. I had toured this venue before with my sister so I thought I knew what to expect going into it… Taylor was extremely rushed, didn’t go over any pricing with us and we were left feeling very confused. In my original tour with my sister last year, the guide Sabrina took us over to the hotel we got to see all of the room options and get a feel for everything. This time we toured the upstairs ceremony area and that was it. We went back to her office to go over things and no pricing was discussed, even though we had asked and she said it will be in the estimate. When we were leaving she said “I’ll email you a quote this afternoon” I am still waiting for the quote 4 days later. She also said as we’re halfway out the door that “if you want to go look at the hotel you can, just tell the front desk that I sent you”. She didn’t offer to come with us and show us around. I understand that there was a wedding happening later in the day, and some of the rooms were being used, but there were other spots she could have shown us. Rivers Edge was a top contender for us and it quickly made it to the bottom because of the service we received.

We recently were married at the River’s Edge at the Arlington, and are over the moon with both the space and the service! The team at the Arlington went above and beyond to help bring our special day together. They were flexible and supportive, and were always there to answer our questions. We’ve received so many compliments about our day, the food and venue being among the top of them. We plan to visit again in the future!

We would choose this venue 100 times over! We loved that the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and hotel were all in close proximity (1st floor/2nd floor and across the street). The space is beautiful…I would describe it as industrial boho chic. It accommodated 110 guests comfortably with a 4 piece band. The all inclusive offerings were well laid out making the process of planning extremely easy and alleviated much stress. We loved the individual charcuterie boards served to each guest rather than the traditional soup or salad for the entrée. The food was delicious. The staff and service exceeded our expectations. My husband and I as well as our guests had the most amazing time, thanks to River’s edge!

Beautiful venue

We had our wedding here in September and while our wedding itself was beautiful, there was some issues with the venue I feel are worth mentioning.
On our walk tour of the space before even booking they showed the cellar as if it was included in our booking for where the groom and groomsmen usually get ready, weeks before our wedding I find out it’s not included and we had to book it separately, same with the suite for the girls to get ready. They did discount the cellar but we were originally under the impression it was included.
Through planning, the communication was okay but could’ve been better - sometimes I waited days for a response, had to send follow ups. One thing I had emailed about during my planning process was if there would be bathroom baskets with little toiletries, any supplies someone may need in the bathrooms for guests, and if not I was going to add it to my list to make my own and bring. I was told there was baskets with feminine products, flossers, hair pins etc and if I wanted to add anything I was welcome to do so. That sounded great so I did not put any together for my day. … there were no baskets
Next was to do with table seating arrangements. They have a very easy system, they send a spreadsheet, you input all your information of tables, meal choices, ages of guests, whether highchair is needed. I had put my 6.5 month old son at my parents table, between my parents, adding in the spreadsheet that a highchair would be needed. .. there was no highchair on my wedding day nor did anyone come by and ask if and where one was needed, the stroller stayed at the table taking up lots of space, someone was always holding him because he had no chair.
After our ceremony we had some wedding party go down to cocktail hour and asked if they could bring us up some food before we went off for pictures, staff told them they would have some brought up for us. We never got any until after we came back, during our dinner.
Then we have the bartender, a lot of guests said he was rude to them, a groomsman tried to get a drink for himself and one for my husband and he was told “no he just got a drink” … which he did not we were right across from the bar on the dance floor. So husband went over and ordered his drink himself. One of my guests went to get a drink for himself and his wife (who wasn’t drinking alcohol) he ordered a beer and a virgin sex on the beach, the bartender gives him a beer and a caesar, he looks and says oh sorry this isn’t what I ordered.. bartender said yes it is. He walks back to their table and his wife is as confused as he is, she takes a sip and said “oh and there’s alcohol in it!” …. She wasn’t drinking alcohol. What if she wasn’t drinking cause she was pregnant, going through sobriety ?! Anything! He definitely could’ve been more friendly and accommodating.
.. aside from all that, I married my best friend, our day was magical and we are happily in love.

As soon as we saw it we loved it and nothing else compares. Taylor has done an amazing job making us feel comfortable and important. Can’t wait to celebrate here :)

We had our wedding at the River’s Edge at the Arlington this past weekend and it was absolutely everything we ever dreamed of! Not only was everything absolutely beautiful, but everything from planning, to any questions and the whole day was extremely organized! All my bride stress was at ease! I had my wedding at the River's Edge at the Arlington and overall the experience was amazing! The staff are very attentive and are fast to answer any questions you have. The package makes the process seamless and easy to make decisions with many inclusions. The venue itself is stunning and has ample opportunities for photos as well as use of the hotel space. Highly recommended for any event!

We attended a wedding here, the staff was great, the food was delicious, the drinks were phenomenal. Great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this space if you are looking for a venue in Paris Ontario.

All questions and inquires were answered with an awesome response time and were more than helpful. We could not recommend Anais and her team at Rivers Edge anymore. This place was very quaint. It is a smaller venue but well kept and the staff were pleasant.

We recently had our wedding at Rivers Edge and I can honestly say that we have no complaints! We signed our contract before the Carmens group took over and we were nervous when we heard they were changing ownership. However- the change in ownership was actually AMAZING! The staff worked with us to honour our original contract but also added in some of their package components (table centre pieces, decor, bar package, food, cake etc). The staff were helpful and answered any questions we had. Anais made sure we felt heard and added in her recommendations when we weren’t sure of something. She made sure our day was stressful free. Ally was also wonderful during the day of the wedding. She made sure to check in with us throughout the day to make sure everything was going the way we wanted it to. Max was also great! The bartenders were also fun and made sure everyone was having a good time!
Overall- I would highly recommend Rivers Edge!
