We had our wedding at River’s Edge in Paris, ON, and it was absolutely perfect. The staff were incredibly supportive, professional, and made the whole process feel smooth and stress-free.

One of the best parts was how much was handled in-house — catering, setup, some décor, and coordination — which meant fewer vendors to manage and way less to worry about on the day. Everything ran seamlessly, and we were able to truly enjoy the moment.

The venue itself is stunning, with beautiful views of the Grand River and a warm, elegant atmosphere with a rustic brick wall. Our guests loved it, and so did we. We highly recommend River’s Edge to anyone looking for a gorgeous venue with top-tier service!

We recently hosted our wedding at this venue, and while there were some wonderful aspects to our experience, there were also a few disappointments that we feel are worth sharing.

First, the venue and hotel itself are absolutely beautiful. The setting provided a stunning backdrop for our day, and the grounds were well maintained and picturesque. Anais, Cora, and Andrea were truly fantastic — professional, kind, and incredibly helpful throughout the planning process and the big day.

The food overall was good, but not quite the standout we were hoping for — several guests mentioned that their meals arrived cold, which was a bit of a letdown.

Unfortunately, there were a few issues that impacted our experience. While not the venue’s fault, the ongoing construction in the town of Paris definitely took away from the charm and atmosphere we were expecting for our wedding weekend.

One of the more difficult parts of the day involved Sabrina, who was rude and unprofessional during the setup. She made inappropriate comments to our bridal parties and family members, including walking into my bridal suite to say my future husband was “high maintenance” and remarking that one of my bridesmaid’s dresses was too revealing — both comments were uncalled for and left a sour impression. Unfortunately, there are a handful of other examples I could provide.

Another challenge was the staff turnover leading up to our wedding. The change in venue contacts caused confusion and resulted in miscommunications about key details, which added stress during a time that should have felt exciting and organized.

In summary, the venue has so much potential — it’s visually stunning and has some excellent team members — but better communication and more professional oversight are needed to truly deliver the experience couples expect on such an important day.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at River’s Edge at the Arlington. From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to ensure our special day was everything we hoped for. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional—always ready to help and quick to respond to any questions we had throughout the planning process. Their support made the entire experience so much less stressful.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning, with beautiful spaces that made for a perfect ceremony and reception. Everything ran smoothly on the big day, thanks to their coordination and attention to detail. It truly felt like they had thought of everything.

Another huge plus was the convenient location. Having a hotel right across the street made it easy for our out-of-town guests and allowed everyone to relax and enjoy the celebration without any hassle.

If you're looking for a beautiful, well-managed venue with a wonderful team behind it, we highly recommend River’s Edge!

We could not be happier with how our wedding went! Everyone was so organized and on top of things. Even with staffing changes we never felt like it made our planning process chaotic. I was always able to get answers to my questions in a timely manner. The day of staff was incredibly helpful and organized and even when a couple things went wrong they handled it without me even finding out (until a family member told me later). The food was delicious and the wait staff and bar staff were friendly and fun. I’m so incredibly grateful to everyone who had a part in our day. We’ve gotten a lot of messages from friends and family saying it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to.

We just had an amazing staff party at River’s Edge. The food was sensational. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The venue is stunning.

My fiance and I went for a tour on Saturday. We were met by Taylor the sales manager and event coordinator. I had toured this venue before with my sister so I thought I knew what to expect going into it… Taylor was extremely rushed, didn’t go over any pricing with us and we were left feeling very confused. In my original tour with my sister last year, the guide Sabrina took us over to the hotel we got to see all of the room options and get a feel for everything. This time we toured the upstairs ceremony area and that was it. We went back to her office to go over things and no pricing was discussed, even though we had asked and she said it will be in the estimate. When we were leaving she said “I’ll email you a quote this afternoon” I am still waiting for the quote 4 days later. She also said as we’re halfway out the door that “if you want to go look at the hotel you can, just tell the front desk that I sent you”. She didn’t offer to come with us and show us around. I understand that there was a wedding happening later in the day, and some of the rooms were being used, but there were other spots she could have shown us. Rivers Edge was a top contender for us and it quickly made it to the bottom because of the service we received.

We recently were married at the River’s Edge at the Arlington, and are over the moon with both the space and the service! The team at the Arlington went above and beyond to help bring our special day together. They were flexible and supportive, and were always there to answer our questions. We’ve received so many compliments about our day, the food and venue being among the top of them. We plan to visit again in the future!

We would choose this venue 100 times over! We loved that the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and hotel were all in close proximity (1st floor/2nd floor and across the street). The space is beautiful…I would describe it as industrial boho chic. It accommodated 110 guests comfortably with a 4 piece band. The all inclusive offerings were well laid out making the process of planning extremely easy and alleviated much stress. We loved the individual charcuterie boards served to each guest rather than the traditional soup or salad for the entrée. The food was delicious. The staff and service exceeded our expectations. My husband and I as well as our guests had the most amazing time, thanks to River’s edge!
