My friend and I were warmly welcomed in the tea room which had a lovely view of the Grand River. Our high tea luncheon was delicious and topped off with a delectable Victorian strawberry cake. We highly recommend a visit to this cozy venue.
My family attended Tea on the Grand for afternoon tea today and it was a wonderful afternoon. The house is authentic and beautiful, Judy and Trevor were great hosts! Our tea was lovely and the food was plentiful and fresh. A beautiful cake for dessert. Judy was nice enough to pack up the leftovers to take home! We sat in the dining room at a long table and my elderly family members were comfy. A great way to end the summer and we can’t wait to come back again!

We had a fantastic stay. Judy is a fantastic host and kept us engaged with wonderful stories and insights, not to mention her breakfast cooking is absolutely amazing. Our suite was spotless and very comfortable. Overall, we loved every minute of our stay, and will be returning in the future. Thank you!
My son and I picked up our tea party picnic in a box today and it was AMAZING! A great variety of delicious little sandwiches, scones just out of the oven, little fritters, cookies and stuffed pepper wedges. Thank you for such a lovely picnic, we will definitely be back!!
Amazing experience with delicious food and a wonderful hostess. The owner, Judy, was so attentive and friendly, and made our meal that much more enjoyable. The house is so lovely and rich with history. Thank you Judy for welcoming us into your beautiful home!
This place was very calming and well maintained. The service was pleasant and the house was beautiful. The tea tasted amazing and the scones, food, and desserts were all so tasty. Highly recommend.
I reached out via email asking if there was any chance I could visit on Monday May 26 or Tuesday May 27. I’ve attached the email of our discussion where the store confirmed I could come in for Monday May 26.
After driving all the way here from Toronto, I waited at the door for ten minutes with no one to let me in. Finally I was able to get a hold of someone from this place, and they started denying that I was ever booked in the first place. Huge disappointment and failure to admit their mistake.
I respect that you are closed but 1, I should have been notified beforehand. And 2, it shouldn’t be this hard just to admit you’re wrong and talk gracefully to me on the phone.
The excuse was that my email was replied by your assistant. It doesn’t really matter to me if it’s your “assistant” or you who was answering my email. I wrote to your store, and how you align internally is your responsibility, not mine.
Today was my first time eating at Tea on the Grand and it was an amazing experience! I'd chatted with Judy two weeks before our planned visit that I was looking to surprise my Mom with one of their picnic boxes. We had a lovely chat on the phone as we planned which items she'd pack for us and the location where I could go for my picnic.
This morning, I woke up, and the weather did not look nice for a picnic in Paris, but I figured we'd find a way to make the best of it. That's when I got a call from Judy. She, too, was worried about the weather and offered us a spot in the sunroom at the Main House and said she'd also be including a small cake for my Mom's birthday. In that phone call, my faith was restored that there are good people in the world, and I actually started to cry, knowing that my surprise for my Mom was going to be magical like I'd hoped.
The food was delicious, the atmosphere was perfect and Judy and her staff member were good about checking that we had everything we needed. I will forever remember this kind gesture and will for sure be back again. Thank you so much, Judy, for all that you did today. You are an absolute angel.
Just had a lovely tea at Tea on the Grand in Paris ON. Such a quaint home and beautiful old Victorian atmosphere. Service and food was superb.

I hadn’t planned to leave a public review, but after receiving an unexpectedly hostile response from the owner following a private and respectful message, I feel it’s important to share my experience. Our women’s group visited Tea at the Grand for a high tea gathering. The table was beautifully set, the food was lovely, and our server, Brooke, was warm and attentive. That said, a few discreet requests made during the event—such as asking about vegetarian options or requesting ice after burning my hand on a teapot—were met with defensiveness and a surprising lack of courtesy from the owner. These were not complaints, but quiet, reasonable questions asked away from the group to avoid disruption. After the event, I messaged to request a receipt (which was completely ignored) and share feedback privately. Rather than respond with professionalism, the owner sent a lengthy and accusatory message, mischaracterizing my words and actions, and suggesting that I had disrespected both her and her space. As someone who organizes community events regularly and makes a conscious effort to support local businesses, I was deeply disappointed by this treatment. While the food and server were delightful, the owner’s reaction left a sour note on what began as a lovely afternoon. I hope future guests are met with more kindness and professionalism.
Love out afternoon tea experience and our server was amazing and so personable
