This is by far, the most exceptional battered fish I have ever had! The batter is light but so flavorful and a fabulous crispness that makes every bite delicious. Their tartar sauce is also light and fresh with a bright dill flavor. The fish itself is mild, flaky and tasty! I only did the one piece, but I wish I would have gotten two. The fries are plentiful as well. More than I could eat!
I do wish they had a few tables as there was just one, but everyone was so friendly and accommodating.
If you are nearby and wanting to have some amazing fish and chips, this is your place! The pea meal bacon was also wonderful. Large parking lot with plenty of room to park. Just outside of Canadian Tire.

Hans down Kate’s has the best fish and chips in town! Not to mention their gluten free gravy! I’ve had everything on the menu, the peameal sandwich, the sausage on a bun, the burger, everything is cooked to perfection! I appreciate the cleanliness and freshness of available condiments and the seating area is great even in a storm keeps you dry. Staff is always friendly and the wait is not too long considering everything is made to order. I’m devastated each year on the last day of the season when they close! If you’re ever in town this is the spot for a quick order of fries or poutine!

We stopped by on a whim after visiting Canadian Tire and we were so happy we did! The fries were amazing, crispy and hot and super fresh. We ordered a large to split between two adults and a child as a snack and it was the perfect amount. We will definitely be back, since it’s hard to find food trucks with Gluten free and vegetarian options.

Just enjoyed a 2pc fish n chip and a Canadian peameal sandwich which were both fabulous. Thin crispy coating on the fish and well cooked fries. 2pcs of peameal in the sandwich with lettuce, tomato and mayo.

The best food truck in Parry Sound. You can’t visit the area without making a stop here! The Kart is a staple for Summer. Amazing poutine and the fish and chips is a favourite. The batter is thin, crispy, and flavourful.

Tonight, I indulged in their French Fries, served with a delicious side of gravy and a Chicken Pita, complemented by a diverse range of fresh condiments. My husband opted for the Chicken Bowl.
The service was impressively quick, and the food was delicious.
With such a tasty menu, deciding what to order is always challenging. Every dish at The Kart is a culinary delight!

While traveling through we googled gluten free food and saw this had options. I enjoyed the poutine, it’s nice to get a gluten free poutine. The gluten free bun for my hotdog however was inedible, really hard, too hard to even bite. In a world where there are actual decent gluten free breads I don’t know why this would even be offered to customers. It was definitely disappointing.

Here's why I gave 2 star review: They force you to tip while using the debit/credit card machine and it's unskippable...
I understanding tipping is a way for employers save money on wages but come on... I and anyone reading this has to stand there and order; they don't serve you.
Also, the main cashier today was rude to me and gave dirty looks throughout the transaction.
I'd say skip this place, unless you enjoy ordering from rude cashiers that make you tip and like a parking lot full of seagulls :)
