Wow! This is the kind of place you hope for when on a road trip. The staff is fantastic, the beer was sublime and the food was great too. Road tripping from California so who knows if we get back this way but if we do we’ll be back.

Love this gem of a restaurant for a nice salad and poutine lunch, wing night or dinner with friends. Great staff, Colleen is an extremely charasmatic server, she brings a smile to my face every time.

We ordered takeout for 3 people. Surprised a bit at no baked potato option for a dinner meal, we ordered mashed to go with our liver and onions. In my 74 years I have never before been served boiled, or possibly steamed liver. It looked positively anaemicly grey! The lumpy potatoes appeared to have been mashed with their cooking water. Our third person ordered sweet potato fries, which were not with the rest of the order and had to be tracked down. The flavour of the liver was merely passable but the food looked unappealing. As for the sweet potato fries, they looked great but were already cold while the liver meals were still steaming hot when we opened them in our room. We were hungry after a long day on the road so we ate part, but certainly could not finish our dinners. Definitely disappointing. Would not recommend.

Fresco’s is Ottawa Valleys gift that keeps on giving. The food, the atmosphere and the service would bring Gordon Ramsay to tears. George (Greek Freak) made sure everything was to my family’s liking, and Jeffrey (Mr Olympia) made sure our glasses were polished to perfection. You can tell this place means a lot to people, nobody leaves here without a smile. Clean, well kept and local. This place and its handsome staff will keep me coming back as long as i’m not eating through a straw.

Absolutely blown away by this place! Their jalapeno zinger burger was the talk of the town, so I just had to try it for myself. Not only did it meet my expectations, it destroyed them. If I ever find myself on death row with one final meal to eat, I'm calling Fresco's to order a jalapeno zinger. My taste buds will never be the same. The only thing better than the food was the outstanding service from Colleen and George who were both a pleasure to talk to. It's a shame this scale only goes to five stars, because I'd really like to give them six.

This is my first time in Pembroke and I’m staying at a hotel nearby. So I looked for what was close by and I could walk here. So I did. They have a great selection of beer (if that’s your thing) and a variety of food. It’s mostly pub fair but a small handful of standouts. I had the applewood smoked salmon with a starter Caesar salad and rice pilaf and I was really impressed. It was delicious. If/when I come back to Pembroke I’ll definitely come back and try something g else.
