This was my first experience here and probably my last. We went in looking for buns for subs or sandwiches. They didn’t have exactly what we were looking for, but the woman behind the counter was kind and explained what they did have. We chose 3 crusty buns and 3 white buns. She began packaging the buns in clear plastic bags only to be told by an older woman with grey hair and a scowl on her face to not use plastic bags. The woman packing the buns explained they were for sandwiches (presumably not to be used all at once and would keep better in sealed plastic bags vs a brown paper bag) but her reasoning was ignored. From there, the experience changed drastically and I then noticed the demeanour of the rest of the employees. Too bad the woman packing our order was treated that way, otherwise I may have considered going back. Not anymore.

If you have been here for bread or pastries you need to go! Awesome food and great service. The best place in town for coffee and a treat! Try the apple pie oat bar

Went into this store an hour ago, I said to man I had heard great reviews about this place straight away the comment back This is a bakery first not coffee shop...even my husband was shocked at attitude. Then ordered large latte with extra shot (no non fat milk either) when it arrived it was no larger than a small and undrinkable as way too strong (even though i asked for extra shot as normally this is the case when i always order lattes). I took it back up to get more milk and the man tried to tell me that is how latte is and this condescending man tried to tell me how lattes are made...not impressed with his attitude and me as the paying customer. To make matters worse the lemon scones were dry so left that too. So if looking for a nice coffee go elsewhere where customer service is better. Hence we are drinking a perfect Starbucks large latte

My mother-in-law and I were in the area visiting family. We had never been to this bakery before. We were so happy with our entire experience there. The inside was delightfully decorated and very inviting. We each got a coffee and shared a berry crumble bar, chocolate chip sea salt cookie and the best croissant both of us ever had! It was all incredible. We ended up bringing a croissant home for our family member. The cherry pie I brought back home may be the best cherry pie I've ever had. It was perfect. We will definitely be back next time we have a visit!

Food was good, for what was left by 11:30 am. Coffee ok but ice coffee made before asking about sugar. Overall the service was poor and disinterested/disengaged by young woman behind the counter. Washroom spacious but needs maintenance work.

During a recent stay in Pembroke we discovered the LOAF bakery. What a jewel of a find! We returned for lunch and treats both days we were in town! The LOX bagels were fabulous, and the croissants and pain du chocolat were perfectly flaky and absolutely delicious! We don’t often find a good cup of coffee and an unexpected treat was the wonderful cups of espresso we enjoyed each day. The LOAF's prices are very reasonable and good value. We would love to have a LOAF in the community where we live! We’ll be tempted to travel to Pembroke more often just to stop in!

Everything about this place is great. The pastries are delicious, the staff are quite friendly (maybe more so, if you're regulars) and it's a nice place to sit and chat (you never feel rushed).

Diabolically Delicious! I didn't think it was possible to eat such scrumptious bread but here I am. We got the farmers bread, monkey bread, and I believe some sort of lemon pastry.
Recommended dishes: Monkey Bread, Cinnamon Buns, Country Loaf
This is a great bakery. And while everything is very good, the croissants are to die for. I'm always looking for 5 star croissants and I'm hooked on these!! Keep up the good work!

Hands down the best pastries in a 100 km radius. Each pastry had so many different flavours and textures and just the right amount of sweetness. I'm going to be dreaming about the macarons and almond croissant. Plus, the coffee was delicious.

Last night I picked up a pack of your cinnamon rolls from Kenny’s store in Westmeath. I was eyeing them up while in line and I couldn’t resist. These rolls were by far the best we have ever had, from the soft bun to the delicious cinnamon and the cream cheese icing. Will be getting these again.
