it's very rare I write a negative review but in this case I can't not say something. yesterday I went to McGuires for the very first time . I had been told their doughnuts were the best. my husband and I ordered doughnuts and sat down to eat them . it wasn't till I sat down that I started to notice the dirt . once I noticed I couldn't stop , the tables , legs and top , the chairs , arms and legs were so gross , looked Iike they hadn't been cleaned or wiped in years, then I looked over and saw the juke box covered in dirt super thick , then I kept looking around , the fronts of the counters holding the doughnuts had something spilled right down to the floor , the floors also looked that they hadn't been cleaned besides maybe a quick sweep . every nook and cranny of the Cafe area had dirt or spills, if this is the way they keep their cafe I can't begin to imagine what their kitchen where they make the food looks like . as a professional cleaner I know it takes a long time of neglect for a place to look this bad . I suggest they speak to their staff about how to actually clean and also do a very deep clean now that they have let it get to this point . all I can say is yuck !!

McGuire’s Doughnuts has truly set the bar high when it comes to delectable treats. I can confidently say that McGuire's serves up some of the best donuts I've ever had. Although I was initially skeptical about the maple bacon flavor, it quickly became my absolute favourite—the perfect blend of sweet and savory that kept me coming back for more. I owe a special thanks to the staff member who encouraged me to try something new; their recommendation was spot-on and added an extra layer of enjoyment to my visit. McGuire’s Doughnuts has definitely earned a top spot on my list of must-visit establishments.

Connor is the owner of this place. Amazing dude, who’s loving being part of the rebirth of Pembroke’s entrepreneurial core. The doughnuts were a great snack, enjoyed by the waterfront, as we waited for our car to charge behind the Scotiabank. We’ll be back to visit McGuire’s Doughnuts next chance we get!!!

McGuire's Doughnuts is my all time favourite doughnut shop, and this is coming from someone who has frequented both sides of the doughnut war in Ottawa between SuzyQ and Mavericks throughout the years. McGuire's is simply unbeatable in both product quality and price. Having such amazing doughnuts within a short walk here in Pembroke is both a blessing and a curse. Having the perfect solution to my doughnut cravings is no doubt convenient, but unfortunately this makes regulating my doughnut consumption nearly impossible. In all seriousness, if you haven't tried these doughnuts yet, do yourself a favour and pick up a half dozen. You won't regret it!

He was really affable, interested in revitalizing the downtown and generally a great personSo we decided to check out his shop and these donuts rock! Go grab some and then take a walk by the river or enjoy downtown

Doughnuts are just okay, it's a plain dense dough with flavoured glazes. Doughnuts are similar in taste to Tim Hortons, I think people just like the name of the glazes. I do appreciate that the doughnuts are fresh which is always nice but Krispy Kreme and metro and other places sell better doughnuts. I guess for Petawawa its acceptable.
