I've been visiting Madameek since they opened almost 10 years ago. At first they were just 'OK', and I would get it to hold me over until the next time I was in Ottawa. But over the years they have really worked hard to perfect their recipes and practices, and I think Madameek rivals the best Ottawa has to offer (Looking at you, Shawarma Palace), which likely puts them in the running for best shawarma worldwide.
Parking: Can be easily accessed by bicycle off the Laurentian Trail.
Our favorite place to go for Friday Night take out. Tonight I opted for some recommendation that came together beautifully. So much food I'll have lunch tomorrow. Psst!! Fries with the garlic paste are amazing! People are pretty terrific too. :)

Best shawarma I have ever had. It's my first stop when coming to the area and it's the one place I miss when I left. Hani and his family have the most incredible food and the service is amazing. The quality is almost an urban legend but it's real. It is that good and talked about in the military community
This spot is a gem. Food is amazing and fresh. Service is exceptional. They are very efficient and quick, and smile, even during the rush. 11/10 highly recommend
Love this place and always try to visit them when I’m in Petawawa for a Mezza for 1. I was very confused when I placed an order for the Mezza ($16.75) & a bottle of Coke ($3.15) on 25 Aug 2024 and had a friend pick it up - my order was charged for $35?!?!?! I would have questioned it I’d been there to pick up. Not sure if the menu I viewed online had inaccurate pricing or if it was just an error. Either way, still delicious, just check your bill first.
