Authentic, delicious, beautifully presented and prepared food. Amazing cocktails and a warm inviting ambiance, very attentive staff. My adult children were impressed, that is not easy .... ! Will be back next time I am in Peterborough!
Great food excellent drinks and inspired seasonal dishes. Expensive though, for lackluster seating and ugly booths when cocktails are $22 plus taxes
My friend and I ordered the shrimp ceviche and chips & queso to share, and her order was shrimp tacos, mine was fish tacos. Absolutely amazing! So delicious. Our waitress was an absolute delight - very friendly and attentive, but not overly so. I will definitely be back to try more items from their amazing menu.
Food is really good, excellent tastes, good size portions. We went on a very busy night and it was friendly, not too noisy and excellent servers. My only complaint was the frozen margarita -- small glass and weird, slightly medicinal taste. Not my fave. But excellent meal!
Staff are pleasant. Food presentation is appropriate. The food really lacked flavour - Noticeably bland.
I was looking for a place to take three of my girlfriends for lunch. I am a vegetarian and they are not. Everyone agreed the food was outstanding and the server was a complete delight. The noise level was reasonable because we were the only people in the place at lunchtime. The food was delicious and plentiful. Don't hesitate to have a meal here.
Great food. Atmosphere was nice. Our appetizer needed more chips as the ones e had were all broken but the portions and items were great.
This is my second time visiting Agave and everything was great The new fall menu is amazing, we got to meet the chef, you can feel the Mexican authenticity in her food Will be coming back soon 10/10
Fantastic food and atmosphere, our sever Sabrina was brilliant, really helpful with menu and drinks choices! Strongly recommend a visit!
My friend booked a table for 2 on Tuesday at 9:00pm and it wasn't too busy. Finally tried this place and it looked great inside. We managed to order off the happy hour menu which is a steal. They had a great selections of margaritas. I ordered the beef, chicken and pork tacos. Tacos were packed with protein just loved it . We also ordered guac for the table, again really good! So all in all it was a great experience highly recommend this place over any in Peterborough if you wanna chill and have a good time with friends!!!

First time. Our hostess was very good, but overwhelmed. Possible that it was busier than expected but not when we arrived. Very long wait from drink/food order/to table service. My partner found the fish tacos very good, hot and as advertised crispy. I had a beef and a chorizo, queso tacos. The both fillings were cold and the pork one was dry. Flavours were good. The homemade chips were really nice but the guac was too salty. The hot sauce bottles were really tired. The ambience was nice and the decor nice but why do the washroom doors look like they were kept from original build but not in a good way. Maybe an off day. We enjoy Mexican dishes so may try again.
Love the modern sophisticated Mexican ambiance. Food is delicious, service friendly and drinks fantastic

This is not an authentic Mexican food place by any means. You are definitely not served chips and salsa at your table for free (including refills) like you would at an actual authentic Mexican restaurant. Their chips are also more like crunchy pita chips than actual Mexican-style corn chips. Further, they were not served warm when they came out to us, because they forgot to bring them out until we asked again about them, after we already had our first round of tacos on the table. The corn tortillas are dyed grey (made the food look less appealing imo), the house queso looks like tomato soup (there are literally tomatoes in their queso), and the house salsa is blended for some reason. The barbacoa tacos are dry, and birria tacos are not served with any consommé. The fish tacos and guac were good. There are no pictures in the menu of the food, only tiny pictures on a card. The drinks are $13 for a whiskey-size glass portion (albeit strong), and have little to no flavour. 2 of the roommates I invited had a medical emergency and had to leave early, and so I offered to pay for their food. It was “all-you-can-eat” tacos (for $37 + tax, at that). I was originally willing to pay for one taco from each of their plates (before changing my mind to just buy them all), and so I was only charged for 2/4 (they are $4/taco; they do not advertise their prices anywhere online, but allow bookings online). Appreciated, but interesting. There is little seating available. The 5 of us were arm-to-arm and had no room to put anything, even though we had a reservation. I also did not appreciate a debit machine being shoved in my hand by a waitress (the same thing happening to one of my roommates, I found out later). Overall, it is certainly not my cup of tea, but I'm sure it's someone's. This is a hipster taco place, not somewhere you go to eat authentic Mexican food. They should focus less on the “trendy” part, more on the authenticity, in my honest opinion. Would not come here again.
