The owners are solid people; a husband and wife team running the front and back of house respectively. We’ve been a few times and the experiences have all been pretty good, and the limited criticism I’ve had they’ve taken graciously and done their best to address.

If you are looking for a restaurant that will provide you with a good Mexican food experience, Agave is a great option. The restaurant is located right in the city center, near several other businesses, but it stands out for its large sign. As soon as you enter the place, you will find a cozy atmosphere, with typical decorations but not overdone, and pleasant music, which allows people to talk without shouting. The service is excellent from the reception to the moment you leave...
I’ve been to a lot of places in Peterborough for drinks, but nothing hits quite like Agave’s happy hour. Half-price tequila and margarita pitchers? Yes, please. We came in on a Tuesday and it turned into a full-blown fiesta. The Coconut Jalapeño Margarita was chef’s kiss – spicy, sweet, and totally refreshing. The vibe is fun, the music is just right, and the staff made us feel like regulars. Already planning my next visit!
