Service was great, food was delicious with big portions, noise level made it easy to have a conversation at your table. I would definitely return.
One of peterborough’s best restaurants! Amazing food/drinks and friendliest staff!

Restaurant is quaint. We were seated quickly and received our drinks in a timely manner. However we waited for over an hour for our meals to be delivered. Bread was brought to the table 5 minutes before our meal. The server did his best...but somehow our dinner was very delayed.
Would not recommend this restaurant. Although food was good, gratuity was added to the bill that was more than advertised. States on the menu it will be 15% gratuity but they charged us 20%. Menu also does not have updated pricing. Was charged more for the meals we had than what was advertised on the menu.
It would’ve been a better experience if disclosure was given ahead of time.

Great meal with some friends. Food was excellent and the wine was great. Our Waiter was Awesome. Sorry, can't remember his name, but service was outstanding and fun! Overall a great place to eat.
The experience here was very impressive.
Our family had a birthday dinner at Capra Toro tonight. There were six of us. We could see that it was busy and we had a brief wait to get orders placed. The downstairs room was full and the upstairs restaurant had a few large groups. But we also saw our server, Shawna moving at very high speed as she delivered food, and seated customers. She reached our table with more water and apologized for the wait, taking our orders efficiently. Service was provided with a smile. Food came in a very reasonable time and it was delicious. Shawna was working so hard that we all commented that it was amazing that she wasn't showing any sign of frustration or fatigue. Her friendliness and pleasant personality impressed us all.
There was a slight delay with appetizers and Shawna told us some of it was not going on the bill. I've never minded mistakes when they come with an acknowledgement and an attempt to fix them. An apology is appreciated too. But a free item really makes a statement. In this case though, the delay was inconsequential and there was no need. She was obviously trying her best to achieve perfection.
Our experience at Capra Toro couldn't have been better. As delicious as my food was, there was so much that I could only eat half of it. Most of us had takeout containers. The portions are very generous. The prices are very fair, and the quality of the food was highly impressive. It was all hot and it arrived at the same time.
We asked to speak to a manager to express our appreciation for the food and the service. This is an excellent choice for a family meal, a date, or dining alone.

Made reservations. Arrived and was asked if we would be done by 7pm as they had another reservation for table. Made us feel rushed Prices on menu did not match website. Server did not specify the special was spicy For a restaurant boasting a great vibe they didnt even have any music playing. Expensive for what we got
Decided to help my community small shops instead of corporate greed and order from Toro for the first time since it moved into town.
I asked for my margarita pizza to be done at 2pm as I had to pick it up at a certain time. I ordered a pizza, Caprese salad and olives, cost me 70 bucks! Pizza was cold and black on the bottom, 3 pieces of basil :( awful awful pizza! And to add a salad and olives for 40 bucks! Not worth it, I'm sorry but if you want to succeed in a small town you have got to do better then 70 bucks and blackened pizza. I would say hey try it out, ya never know... But One Fine Food has a margarita pizza that in my opinion is 100% better then Cappa Toros. It's expensive and garbage, don't waste your money with take out.

Fun vibe and excellent food and service. The owner recommended a fabulous wine and gave us personal attention. We'll definitely be back!
My boyfriend and I came here for the first time for our 2 year anniversary and had a wonderful time! The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was delicious! We also got a free dessert for the occasion, which was so lovely. A bit pricier than some other places maybe, but not by much, and the portion sizes are more than fair. I didn't even get halfway into my pasta and I was full! We got focaccia to start, he got the Rocco's pie, and I got gnocchi with chicken as well as the blueberry tea (19+). We also had tiramisu. Would totally recommend!
