It's a take out restaurant, it was on the way, decided to try. Mostly inedible unfortunately. There was a weird thing coating the egg rolls, like crystalized sugar or fat that was also a bit stringy. So gross, couldn'tremove it, didnt eat. Almond soo guy was too hard and crunchy to eat...the tiny bits of chicken had to be taken from this batter. It surely was sitting for a while. No almonds detected and the gravy was odd, more like French fry gravy, tasted off. I ordered special fried rice. They put 4 tiny shrimp on top and that's all the shrimp there was, also only a few pieces of chicken. The thought occurred to me that they gave us this because I didnt tip on a take out restaurant. No, wont go back.

Got Cantonese chowmein, didn't have beef, mushrooms, shrimp, and barely any broccoli. They put lettuce in it, which was soggy, and way too many noodles to hide the fact that barely any other item was it and charged $20. The worst Cantonese chowmein I've ever eaten.

Easily the best Chinese food in the Kawarthas. I've been coming here for almost a decade now and I have not once been disappointed. The owners and staff are amazing people with great humour! I wish nothing but success and happiness to them for years to come! I highly recommend the C9!
