Ordered masala dosa and idly on Dec 29, 2025 using skip. I am not sure what they serve as Sambar but it was absolutely gross. Dosa was soft- they do not have the batter right and idly was flavorless. The chutney had way too much garlic though this was the only item that I could eat. It's clear that someone who doesn't know south indian food is cooking these. I had some of the items above and my stomach is turning. Disappointed would be an understatement. Please stop butchering indian food

I had their beef curry and chicken samosas ,guys please don’t go there ,super terrible food ,I got sick.Never going back here. The owner named Joe pinto is very rude and always comes across as egotistical and impolite.Wont even give one star if it was upto me.

We ordered as I had injured myself and we thought we would order South Indian for Diwali. We were very disappointed after spending $80 for 2 people. Food was terrible only item we finished was vada & papadum.(this was the best although a bit oily). The vada was a bit dense but flavour was okay. Rest of order was not good. The dosa was soft and think with an odd taste to the masala. The papri chat was soggy, coconut chutney was sour and sambar was sweet. Even mango rasmalai was not good - brar’s frozen one has better flavour. Even the mango lassi. We were so excited and each item was worse. We left the majority uneaten. What a waste of money and ruined our holiday. I am wishing for more papadum to take the bad taste from my mouth. South Indian is one of my favourites but this - you are better off saying no thanks. Feel bad that so much food will now be wasted.

I ordered the chicken samosas from here and they were absolutely delicious,well-seasoned chicken filling inside. It wasn't that crispy though. But they even gave me an extra veg samosa. Great taste and generous service.

The worst place I have ever been the food smells and taste like it’s been 45 days old. The fries seems like they have been fried twice and even I didn’t even like the service they were getting annoyed and didn’t listen to our problem that we were having in their food to give them a rating or a minus rating. I would be giving that.
The people who own the place are very nice . They greet you with a smile. There food is great.

Curry Mantra in Peterborough is hands down my favorite restaurant! Whether you’re craving authentic South Indian delicacies or flavorful North Indian curries, they deliver on all fronts. Their dishes are consistently delicious, but the real star of the show is their thali—perfectly portioned and packed with variety. What truly sets Curry Mantra apart is the unbeatable pricing. In a town where dining out can be costly, their menu is a breath of fresh air, especially for students and anyone facing tough times. The food is fresh, the portions are generous, and the atmosphere is welcoming. If you’re looking for quality, economical Indian food, this place is a must-visit!”
The chicken samosa chaat here was absolutely delicious! The flavors were perfectly balanced, with the crispy samosa, tender chicken, and the tangy, spicy chutneys blending beautifully. The portion size was generous, and it was presented so well. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even better. If you’re looking for a unique and flavorful dish, I highly recommend trying the chicken samosa chaat here. I’ll definitely be back!
