Love this place! The most consistent tasting food I have had in Ptbo. I usually order Fish and Chips, and Calamari. They are extremely crunchy, cooked perfectly and tastes amazing. A solid 10/10 place.

I ORDERED 2 FISH {NO CHIPS}, 1 JUMBO SHRIMP WITH CHIPS, 1 DEEP - FRIED PICKLES, 1 EACH OF COLESLAW/POTATO & MACARONI SALADS.THE TOTAL WAS $48 & CHANGE. FOR THE MOST PART, A WASTE OF MONEY.THE POTATO & MACARONI SALADS BOTH WERE SO GROSS THEY WERE INEDIBLE! I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT 3 COLESLAW BECAUSE IT'S THE BEST ON THE PLANET!THE JUMBO SHRIMP {8} WERE RUBBERY BUT STILL OK. FRIES WERE OK BUT I EXPECTED BETTER FROM A FISH & CHIP SHOP.THE DEEP - FRIED PICKLES WERE THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD IN MY ALMOST 59 YEARS! DELISH.THE 2 FISH WERE VERY LACKING, NO WONDER THEY'RE CHEAP. NO IDEA WHAT KIND OF FISH THEY ARE, BATTER IS NOT GOOD & THE 1 PIECE WAS FULL OF BONES.

The fish is very good but the chips n slaw are below expectations. Chips should be crispy outside, light n fluffy inside. These tend to be greasy.

Purveys Chemong Road . We were delighted, first visit. Excellent tender halibut and fresh cut fries. Reasonable prices and extremely generous portions. Our new go-to Fish and chip spot. Give this place a try. Pianoman Craig.

I haven't eaten here in a couple of months but I am posting this review in hopes management will consider making a change. The fish is fantastic. Been treated to it by my parents for well over 10 yrs. My complaint is the chips/fries. For a business that focus mainly on just two things fish and chips the chips are not that good. Perhaps research into better prep. and cooking method could improve them greatly. I doubt the quality of potatoes is to blame.

Was working in the yard today and decided something fast. Ordered fries with scallops. He claimed he's from the east coast. So I expected really good food. I'm also from the east coast. The fries were mushy the batter on the scallops weren't even cooked all the way. Disappointed to say the least. Never again everParking: It's a strip mall. Parkin in the mall.

They make the best fish and chips so everytime I come to help my dad we get some. They have a very clean establishment with great food and good customer service.

I had a great experience ordering from JP’s. I went on the busiest day of their year without realizing it and decided to wait in line anyways. Totally worth the 1 hour wait as the fish was so good, their fries were crispy and hand cut, and my kid loved the popcorn shrimp. Well done!

We hadn’t used chemong Rd restaurant in awhile but wanted to give another try we usually go to the Rubidge st restaurant and it’s very good but chemong rd has not improved chips were burnt fish was a 5 out of 10 will stick with Rubidge st restaurant is the north end owned by somebody else?
