Their food is absolutely delicious. I tried a variety of butter tarts and fritters and was very pleased with them. Their service is good too.
I absolutely love the Kawartha Buttertart Factory! I try to stop by every week after work. The quality of the ingredients, the richness of the flavours, and the generous portion sizes make their fritters, doughnuts, and cinnamon buns truly outstanding. In an age of shrinkflation, it’s refreshing to find baked goods that are not only delicious but also satisfyingly large. If you're looking for a real treat, try the cinnamon buns with cream cheese icing, they’re incredible. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and I really appreciate that they offer options for my daughter who has celiac disease. If you're lucky, you might even find some eclectic doughnut flavours that are to die for. A gem of a bakery!
You need to go! The best butter tarts on the Butter Tart Tour, we did the hard research. Super friendly staff, great selection of baked goods, too.

Probably the worst butter tart I’ve ever eaten. The pastry was like phyllo pastry and the filling was awful. Nothing like DooDoos.

My husband's addicted to there maple sticky buns!

Fantastic baked goods at very reasonable prices. Staff at this location are awesome and always eager to help. Butter tarts are amazing but do try the breads, cinnamon rolls, fritters and donut flavours of the week. Drive by at your peril!
