Publican House Brewery & Pub

As pleasant as wait-staff are you do indeed have to wait for them.
My reservations about atmosphere are an easy fix. For an open space it was surprisingly Conversation-friendly: No noisy playlist to interfere and we had a lovely booth to ourselves for catch-up.
Caveat: I assume the meat is well cooked, however, the several big screens spashed UFC blood all over what is a fairly nice atmosphere. All good if you’re expecting to host a rugger team for the evening. In very bad taste if you’re not.

The fries sat for several minutes before finding our table, and while the Caesar dressing was really quite good, It was slathered to the point of sludge. The wings were of good quality and nicely flavoured and cooked. Lots of food, and it seemed to us to be reasonably priced.

Growing pains, right? But in a town that is rife with pub food, the new Publican has it's work cut out for it.

By far one of my favorite places to go in Peterborough. The beer is made locally (next door), nothing on the menu will disappoint, the staff is quick and friendly, and the vibe inside or on the patio is on point. Great place to unwind any day of the week.

A big thank you to The Publican House team. Today we hosted over 60 friends and family in the private room for my grandfather's celebration of life. The staff was very attentive and the food was great. Thank you for making our difficult day easy and enjoyable.

Beware! New owners! I can already tell the new owners are going to ruin this place…. Charging super high prices for sides, no sides with meals anymore, the loyalty program for the retail store is gone just super disappointing for a restaurant that was a fixture of Peterborough for so long. I would avoid until the new owners get their heads out of their rears. Food and service is still good for now but I wouldn’t be surprised if it went downhill from here.

The Hubby and I stopped in for drinks on the patio and had a great time enjoying some wine and beer.

It's okay. The service was good but the food is mediocre and grossly overpriced. I probably won't go back.

We went here for lunch. Pizza and cheese dip were great. The beer and service was good. They didn't have wings unfortunately. The place is a nice place to hangout.

The only improvement would be for the size of the kitchen, it would need to increase when hosting large groups.

We held a retirement party for a colleague in one of the rooms on the second floor at the Publican House and it was great! The team were very organized, accommodating and helpful. The food and service were great. Definitely recommend as a venue for hosting parties.

Great food and beverage

Charged me 3 bucks for lettuce instead of a bun on a burger. Come on!? That's just rude. I don't mind paying extra for an extra item, but that's ridiculous. Next time I guess I will take the bun off and waste it ... makes no sense to me!

Great place to kick back and relax. It's an absolute shame our local MP decided to shit all over it.
