Holy Shrinkflation! We have been ordering takeout from Shafiq’s for more than 8 years now, but last night was our last.Our standard order always filled two shopping bags and left us with leftovers for the next day. Not anymore. $90 out the door with one bag, containers of half the size, and not even enough to have seconds for any of the 4 of us. Still love the food, we’ll miss our tradition, but can’t afford this anymore for so little food.

My family ordered what we thought would be a substantial amount of food through skip the dishes on Friday Feb 23rd for my Mom's birthday. Our family has ordered from Shafiqs many times over the years and we have never had an issue, but when we received our food we were disappointed to find that the take-out containers where much smaller than they used to be. A few of them weren't even full. The bill was over $140 (excluding skip the dishes fees) and we barely had enough food for 5 adults. We ordered 6 main dishes rice and nann. For reference they used to use 16oz take-out containers and we received 12 oz containers. Thats 25% less food while the prices remain the same or more.When we called to inform them of the issue they were indifferent and tried to blame skip the dishes, which is ridiculous. They eventually sent out another small container of butter chicken.Their only Point of redemption was that we did enjoy the food we received dispite of the small portions.We will not be ordering from Shafiqs again and would not recommend them for takeout.

Cozy environment with great customer service. I like trying samosa chaat in different restaurants and they’re not always great, but this restaurant’s was delicious. Great food, will definitely eat here again.

We had a wonderful dinner out at Taste of India. Amazing food, great customer service and all around fantastic evening.The butter chicken is unlike any other. Thank you for a great meal!
I loved this place. I used to ask exclusively for gift cards for any birthday or holiday. I don't do that anymore. I don't understand what has happened to the food here. You used to get beautiful sauces that were thick and flavourful but now the sauces are all water. My girlfriend always loved the lamb korma as it was mild and she would get it even less spicy. Now, they don't listen. They adjust heat in their dishes to what you ask. Last we ordered was korma to be made very mild, almost no heat. What we got was more along the lines of vindaloo. I have eaten spicy my whole life and have a tolerance but I could not eat it. It was beyond hot. Not the first time this has happened recently. Always been loyal to shafiq's but I think I will try another Indian restaurant next time.
33$ for this? We will never come back. Absolutely infuriating. And the butter chicken is mediocre. Way to live up to the stereotype

Wow! Went to Shafiq's for the first time tonight, and it was phenomenal. They are very accommodating with any dietary needs, and they can customize the heat level to anything you like!! Would recommend this place to anyoneDietary restrictions: Lots of vegan and gluten free options available!

The food tasted pretty good.. really disappointed with the small amount that 50 bucks got you though. .
