A great late breakfast today. Just simply a good meal. My wife had the Mediterranean omlette and I had farmer sausage breakfast. There's something about the eggs. Onion spices or something. Awesome. Home fries were great. We always love the hole in the wall type of places. Thanks to Goran Varga for a great first time experience
Mother’s Day special - delicious as always - wait for it every year.
This is our go-to breakfast restaurant in Peterborough. The food is cooked with great care and is consistently delicious. The service is attentive without being intrusive. The prices are more than fair considering the large portions you receive. The Chef (owner) is really passionate about food and is great for friendly chat.
Today was my first time at Square Plates 🍽 its an absolute lovely experince the food was impeccable and the staff are kind and hard workers!. It was a while since I've had eggs benedict and today i was in the mood to have it and i didn't regret it overall a pleasant and cozy experince and it was nice that it wasn't too busy today either. I'll be sure to come back and recommend this resturant to anyone looking for a good breakfast place to eat at.
I love Square Plates! It’s such a homey atmosphere and the food is good and low-cost. My go to is the traditional breakfast which is very reliable and never disappoints. The owner is also very nice to talk to. I definitely recommend :)
I went to square plates yesterday. I got the traditional breakfast and it was delicious! Service was extremely fast. The owner was super kind and funny. I had a very good experience. If you are looking for a breakfast restaurant in Peterborough square plates is a great option!
Nice people
We felt bad because the owner had just had a break in, the owner said it was the 3rd time and therefore did not have stock of everything so we had to adjust what we were ordering. My husband's club sandwich was very good but my bacon and eggs were sub par. The bacon was overcooked and the scrambled eggs were not light and fluffy, they were flat and brown like they were left on the grill too long.
we meet here for breakfast every week and the owner and staff are great, even remembering our groups individual preferences from week to week.
Had a nice breakfast with my boyfriend at Square Plates Family Restaurant. The food was great, portion size was fantastic and the price was fair.
The staff and owner were very attentive and friendly.
We will be back.

This is what you call a Mom n Pop restaurant. The decor very old school and you can tell the restaurant has been around for a long time. The server was very friendly and the food came quite quick. Breakfast was good. My only complaint would be that the bacon was a bit overcooked . Other than that my family enjoyed. Their debit machine went down and no fault of their own so I had to leave and go to a bank machine to get cash. By time I returned the machine was back up and running. I want to add also the prices were very very reasonable. Will definitely be back!
We were here for Christmas dinner with about 20 us, we actually that here every year!
Food and service was excellent, owners were super friendly, food was great with a good portion and fresh. 100% would go back
Perfect breakfast for Trent students! Great prices and service
We tried the chicken Cordon Bleu and their egg bennies. The egg bennies with hollandaise sauce was so good. The chicken, ham and their in-house mayo in cordon bleu made the dish extra scrumptious.
