Food was awesome the cook knows what he’s doing by far my fav breakfast place in Peterborough, the grill cheese two types
Of cheese and lots of it, he omelettes jam packed with everything u like in each bite, and the eggs and bacon top tier and the breakfast potatoes just hit perfectly I highly recommend checking this place out! I’d post a picture but afterthought first bite I couldn’t put the fork down. Thanks guys for the great meal!

This was my first time here, upon entering there was a sign saying due to staff shortage meal times may take 20-30mins, which is fine for such a highly rated restaurant. The server was delightful, very friendly. We ordered a simple bacon and egg breakfast, it was ready very quickly and very overcooked. Our eggs were well done when we asked for over easy, everything else was cooked just a bit too long so very burnt. All of this would be somewhat ok if the prices weren’t as they are. There are many places in Peterborough that have the same menu for lower pricing/more quantity for the same pricing. I would not go here again nor recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I visited square plates in Peterborough in July for breakfast. The eggs and sides were excellent. The sausage was grilled and better than most breakfast sausages. The owner was friendly and took the time to explain how he started out his business as he was also the server that day.

Had a horrible time. Watched the chef not wash his hands, put food in his mouth, licked his fingers, touched raw egg+raw meat without washing hands. Touched cash+till no washing hands at all. Absolutely horrible never go here. Sat right in front of the kitchen and also watched him start a small fire.

Had an unfortunately experience here today, watched the chef/owner repeatedly put food in his mouth bare handed and touched other food. He also handled raw meat and then touched toast, wiping his hands on his pants in between. Also had mouldy milk for coffee and then got shamed into still paying for it. Side note, I think he is taking all the tips because wouldn't let the waitress cash us out. No hand washing seen, and started a small fire. Can't make this stuff up lol.

A great late breakfast today. Just simply a good meal. My wife had the Mediterranean omlette and I had farmer sausage breakfast. There's something about the eggs. Onion spices or something. Awesome. Home fries were great. We always love the hole in the wall type of places. Thanks to Goran Varga for a great first time experience

Mother’s Day special - delicious as always - wait for it every year.

This is our go-to breakfast restaurant in Peterborough. The food is cooked with great care and is consistently delicious. The service is attentive without being intrusive. The prices are more than fair considering the large portions you receive. The Chef (owner) is really passionate about food and is great for friendly chat.

Today was my first time at Square Plates 🍽 its an absolute lovely experince the food was impeccable and the staff are kind and hard workers!. It was a while since I've had eggs benedict and today i was in the mood to have it and i didn't regret it overall a pleasant and cozy experince and it was nice that it wasn't too busy today either. I'll be sure to come back and recommend this resturant to anyone looking for a good breakfast place to eat at.
