Tacheena Middle Eastern Cuisine

Astonished that I haven't tried this joint yet and really glad we stopped in for lunch yesterday. I haven't had the chance to get out with my father in a long time and this is not his typical choice in food but was overly willing to try. We started with the best falafel I have ever had in my life and moved on to split a main dish of beef tacheena, the signature dish made at this resturaunt. both plates were absolutley beautiful, both taste and spice level was absolute perfection. It was so good infact i am writing this review hating myself for not getting more. After the tacheena we just had to order something else and we're promply recomended the chicken tikka which was divine, soft and had depth of flavor not your regular bar grub or grease bomb food this towns older generation is used to. Perfection all around. I don't know which I liked better, might just have to order both again! Needless to say one happy senior and his son will definitely be returning to this fine establishment.

Great Middle Eastern food - generous portions. Fresh cooked to order. We really enjoyed the Tacheena beef plate and the kebab dinner.
Owner is very hospitable and friendly.

I was really hoping to be able to give 5 stars, the owner is SUPER nice.

Food was great. I was really surprised by the amount of rice given on my beef Tacheena plate, it made it a very small portion. Not enough for lunch for an average person.

Having the take out bags sprawled out all over the food prep line is a pretty simple first impression to be fixed.

I had high hopes for this place because of the reviews and the super friendly staff, but unfortunately when I got home with my meal, it turned out to be cold...like...fridge cold. I expected Middle eastern flavours for my Eggplant Tikka but the sauce tasted like cheap BBQ sauce....and there was a LOT of it.
I couldn't eat my meal.
I don't think I'll ever go back.

We had vegan options: falafel plate & fasolia with tacheena rice. Food was lovely and in good quantity. I felt more than full. Very pleasant people and nice sitting. Will come again.

We had chicken and beef tacheena. Service was pleasant, friendly and quick. Prices are very reasonable. Portions were good and very flavourable.
We will be coming back to try more on the menu.
