Tacheena Middle Eastern Cuisine

I had high hopes for this place because of the reviews and the super friendly staff, but unfortunately when I got home with my meal, it turned out to be cold...like...fridge cold. I expected Middle eastern flavours for my Eggplant Tikka but the sauce tasted like cheap BBQ sauce....and there was a LOT of it.
I couldn't eat my meal.
I don't think I'll ever go back.

We had vegan options: falafel plate & fasolia with tacheena rice. Food was lovely and in good quantity. I felt more than full. Very pleasant people and nice sitting. Will come again.

We had chicken and beef tacheena. Service was pleasant, friendly and quick. Prices are very reasonable. Portions were good and very flavourable.
We will be coming back to try more on the menu.

Dinner at Tacheena Middle Eastern Food, Peterborough is a small family run restaurant.

We had:
Auran - a salty yoghurt drink
Baba ghanoush (eggplant dip) with pita bread. So tasty and garlicky.
Spicy Lamb Guss with Salad
- spicy lamb grilled and cooked with red onion and tomato and served with tossed salad and an cucumber/tomato/onion/parsley salad
- very tasty and a do over!
Mix Lamb Kofta And Beef Kebab with Salad and rice
- grilled lamb kofta and beef kebab served with tossed salad and yellow spiced rice
- tender and juicy

A very enjoyable meal!

Hussein, the owner has a very positive attitude and very polite and kind. It was great having a conversation with him while we were waiting for our order. The food was excellent. We ordered mixed beef kebab with chicken tikka, mixed beef kebab with lamb tikka, 2 extra orders of beef kebab, hummus and pita. It was an amazing food experience for us. We will definitely go back. Highly recommended.

Our second time to Tacheena, to try some new dishes, was even better than our first visit. Mr. Hussein is an affable and generous restauranteur whose menu offers a variety of authentic Middle Eastern plates. We recommend the kebabs and, above all, the falafel dishes that are available.

Very authentic delicious food. I used to go to Osmow's and had passed this place for so long without trying. Now I won't be going back to Osmows.

It's not as busy as other restaurants so it takes them a little more time for food prep. If in a rush order ahead of time, but definitely eat here.

In addition to good food the owner was very friendly. The only downside is the eat-in atmosphere isn't the best but this place is still 5 star

The food is really great and it’s unfortunate that the osmos chain gets so much more attention then this family owned place. There about to put up an apartment building over tacheena which might run them out of business and it’s so sad because the food and the people are so great!
