True to Middle Eastern taste. I have tried few different Middle Eastern restaurants in Peterborough; however, Tacheena was able to meet my expectations to the point. Specially, the kebabs I tried were well-seasoned, perfectly tender and juicy. Also, all the options were halal.
Always great food. Friendly owners who take the time to dress your food just as you'd like it. While there is eating space in the restaurant it is small and seats only 12-15 patrons. Most people are doing takeout when here that I've seen.

We were passing through Peterborough in our camper van with bikes on back. After enjoying the riverside trails, art gallery and zoo we were ready for a meal no doubt! Just happened upon this little place near the zoo. Clean, courteous and welcoming. We were lucky to get a table as there is not a huge dining area. Simply great food - Lamb Kofta and Tikki Chicken - and lots of it. : ) Thank you for a lovely meal.

One of the top 3 places for a bite in Peterborough, without a doubt. How did I just get a wrap and tacheena bowl for the same price as a Big Mac meal. Then I take a bite and the flavour, texture, and presentation are 100%. Unreal. Exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey; 3 Michelin.
Excellent kebabs, the chicken tikka is the best I've had. The meat was very tender from being marinated and had rich flavors. Growing up in Toronto I had a lot of middle eastern food and this is the only place in Peterborough that really scratches that itch for me.

Ordered 2 chicken shawarma, both were delicious, made fresh, and were served hot. The owner is very friendly, and the drinks are reasonably priced. Water is $1, anywhere else water would cost $2 if not more. Enjoyed the food, the interaction, and the environment. Will definitely be back!! This is the place you want to be if you want a fresh, warm, and delicious meal.

Outstanding take-out spot. We had 3 different wraps; falafel, chicken schwarma and guss chicken. All were delicious and packed with fresh, flavorful fillings. Highly recommend!

I enjoyed every single bite of the meal, the food was absolutely amazing – I ordered a Falafel plate which came with falafel, rice, salad and pita . Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Ended up working near this restaurant for a couple of days and thought it was worth a try because of the aromas wafting out. We got two combo's as take out along with side salads . We got a chicken with rice combo and a lamb with rice combo . Of course we shared so we could try both. The meat in both was cooked to perfection , juicy and very good flavour. The lamb had a slight bit of heat to it . The rice too was very good. The salad was very good as well. This is not an area in Peterborough we frequent but it's not far out of the way so we'll go back . This comment is purely on the food as takeout not as a sit down . Staff were very nice though . !
