I was there last Saturday. The food took 2 hours to arrive!!! When it did come it was cold. What a terrible experience. They offered to pay for our 2 cups of coffee big deal. Never going back.

Very unique down to earth.l kind of place. Nothing fancy here at all and some might think it's a little grubby but I love it!

Parking: Free parking about a min walk down the street.

Stopped in for early lunch today and let me tell you, I am so glad we did. I ordered the Worlds Better sandwich and it was insanely delicious. The server was amazing, the vibes were immaculate. I can see why this spot has so many good reviews. I’m not sure if I could even recreate the taste of the this sandwich, someone needs to wife up the girl in the kitchen!

If you like a nice beer accompanied by a woman banging on the window demanding heroin then this is the place to go. I knocked my glass over startled by the display and then was cut off.

A few extremely rude and unfriendly workers. Food is mediocre. No direction or instructions as to how the place functions from a customer point of view. You are expected to know that you will not be getting table service even if you are a first time guest. You are expected to know to sit yourself, ASK for menus because you may be sitting there forever otherwise, and to walk up to the BAR and place your food order, and then pay afterwards at the bar. Café is in the name so you'd expect it to function similarly to one. I'm tired of bringing new people here only for them to deal with rudeness simply because it's their first time there. Is it called The Only Café because it is the Only Café this backwards and unpleasant?

Creekside patio is the best, a quiet, shaded summer retreat from the heat. IPA tap selection is sad

The World's Best Sandwich is a Great try.

The Avocado in the sandwich is the best part of the sandwich. Gouda not the best part in my own preference. Peppers & tomato were great. I do have to say, the service here is the WORST I've experienced from a Café in Peterborough especially a local café. The worst local Café that I've been to in Peterborough. They keep on repeating & telling you how there's no table service here & it doesn't even feel friendly. They don't say it to you about how there's no table service here in a friendly & inviting way. They just say it to you casual & straight forward which is not effective especially if there are first-time comers here.

If there's no table service, then you should pay up front FIRST THING before receiving & eating your food just like Tim Hortons but they don't even mention for you to pay right away. There's no call to action there. All they say is that you pick your own table & that there's no table service. It's not clear. The fact that they do not tell you to pay up front First Thing makes you assume that there is table service because with table service, you usually pay after eating your meal. Then, the bartender brings the food to your table after making it clear in the beginning that there's no table service so now, you're just shaking your head.

This place is a Huge WHATEVER.

Stopped in for a bite before a long drive back to Toronto after reading great reviews. It did not fail to disappoint. Really great service and seemed like the place where they'll remember your name after a few visits. At least the person serving me seemed to know everyone by name when I was in. The guy making my incredible canadian club sandwich was meticulously clean (which was awesome to see) and honestly one of the best clubs I've had. They were playing an album I haven't heard since it came out and I feel like this would be a great spot to find a new band to love as well. The manager and I had a quick chat and she was so kind to even point me to a great spot to enjoy my banana bread and coffee to go down by the lake.
This was a quick stop but honestly it was a much needed little break this week and made my day.
