Wish I could give it 100 stars. The redheaded bartender had an attitude - she was so mean to me and it was so hot I peed my pants. I’ll be frequenting this little slice of heaven just to fill up that tip jar and make polite conversation. Excellent service.

Wish I could give it 0 stars. The atmosphere and food maybe get a 1 star. But mostly the service was horrible. The red head waitress had a attitude and was completely rude. I went to the washroom and she cleared my beverage even tho I had just bought it. And when I confronted her about it she just said oh well. Did not give me my money back. It felt like a scheme more than anything. Make us pay for our drinks, tip well, then take it away before we can even have a sip. Im disgusted by this place and the staff and will never go back. Again I wish I could give it less than a star. My suggeston is to fire the ones with an attitude problem and hire nice staff that knows how to talk to customers nicely. Staff that act like they actually want to be there.

This place rules but all-of-a-sudden they're not open Monday OR Tuesday?!? Come back to me. What did I do wrong? Tell me, I'll change!!! Please re-open. Right away would be ideal, thank you, love you, proud of you 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

The Only Café is such a cute and charming spot—truly one of the most unique places I’ve visited. It has such a cool, eclectic vibe that makes it feel instantly welcoming, whether you’re stopping in for a coffee, a meal, or a late-night drink. The atmosphere alone sets it apart, but the food and drinks really seal the deal.
The menu has something for everyone, which makes it an easy choice no matter what time of day you visit. From hearty breakfasts to great options later in the evening, there’s always something tempting. I started with their drip coffee, and honestly, it’s some of the best I’ve ever had—rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed. On top of that, I tried one of their Caesars, and it was absolutely out of this world. Flavorful, balanced, and made with so much care, it’s easily one of the best Caesars I’ve ever had anywhere.
A huge shoutout to Esther, who gave us incredible service. She was attentive, friendly, and genuinely made the experience feel special. The Caesar is 100% her masterpiece, and she made the whole visit memorable.
The Only Café is a true gem—cozy, unique, and consistently excellent. Can’t wait to come back!

Peterborough might only have one café, but honestly, it doesn’t need more—this spot nails it. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere feels more like a cozy dive bar than your typical coffee shop. The walls are covered in cool, eclectic artwork that gives the place a ton of personality and makes every visit feel a little different depending on what catches your eye.

The coffee is hands-down some of the strongest and best I’ve had anywhere—bold, rich, and brewed just right. You can tell they really care about doing it properly. It’s the kind of cup that wakes you up in the best way and keeps you going without any bitterness.

Food here is equally impressive. The menu is simple but super tasty, with dishes that feel homemade yet thoughtful. Everything I’ve tried has been flavorful and fresh—perfect for pairing with that amazing coffee.

On top of all that, the service is friendly and genuine. The staff make you feel welcome whether you’re just grabbing a quick cup or hanging out for a while.

All in all, this place is a hidden gem and absolutely worth the stop. Peterborough’s café scene might be small, but it’s mighty.

Such a beautiful spot. Would 100% recommend, I’ve only been here at night until today and it’s so beautiful. Bringing my friends back for sure.

My favorite spot in Peterborough.
Timeless charm, great people, large selection of beers and ciders, good food and a patio with a creek beside it!!
