The Railyard Café and Taphouse

Awesome :) We have been at least - 6 x and will continue to go. The food is excellent, served hot and at a good pace. Outstanding Honey feta cheese appetizer with toasty pita bread , and an amazing eggplant dish & salmon dish - In fact all our choices ordered have tasted delish.
Service is excellent and hours open are people friendly! Our regards to the chefs and staff. Would add a candle tea light and maybe a padded seat for ambiance /comfort but as is a most pleasant, happy place to go to spend time breaking bread with friends and family ...this restaurant is ours and my families new favourite restaurant, to meet and enjoy an excellent meal in Peterborough..Outstanding !!

The food is very good . Never disappointed with anything ordered. Atmosphere is very nice and not cramped.My favorite go to with the girls for lunch!

Dietary restrictions: I have a food intolerance for garlic and it's often difficult to find restaurant meals that accommodate this. RAILYARD chef kindly found multiple choices for me and the meal was delicious!

Parking: Sidewalk construction on both sides of street limiting parking options.

Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible doors, one level floors, fully accessible washroom near entrance. No reserved parking.

I have had the pleasure of spending a lot of time at this location so I have been fortunate to try different items on the menu at different hours of the day or in the evening.

The mornings offer a great selection of breakfast items such as house baked bread, croissants or bagels with whipped cream cheese, fruit, eggs and coffee!

For lunch and dinner, there is a lovely selection of sandwiches, flatbreads, soups, salads and more! Atmosphere is more intimate.

Dessert and beverages menus are fantastic. A definite treat for East City living.

The atmosphere is great with beautiful epoxy floors, historic decor and art as well as a great place to enjoy a casual conversation.

Update: I enjoyed a lovely evening in the beautiful event space in the basement where I enjoyed a private party with some great people. Cynthia was our server and bartender. She is so sweet and attentive!

Update: I had the pleasure of attending another private event. This time our server and bartender was Sean! He is very personable and enjoys a good laugh. The food was amazing as always!

The chips (appetizer) were hard to dip because they were basically.... crumbs. Dip was nice, though. Pop @ 4.00 was flat. But the sandwiches and salads were great! Very flavourful✓

Last minute wedding crowd. Staff was nice and accommodating despite reservations soon. Left when needed and quick service.

New restaurant in Peterborough! Food was good with some different menu items. The wait staff was courteous and welcoming. Really good customer service on a mix-up of one dessert item. I will eat here again.

Came for dinner, had Megan as our server, who was fantastic, as was the food!
We come fairly regularly, food is always amazing, but this time our server Megan went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect.
Now I know why we always come back!
(Definitely recommend the Flank Steak Boston Wraps)
