This is our third time coming, it usually is pretty good, and service is ok. We wanted to come for breakfast. Service was very slow, took 15 minutes to get a latte and then another 30 mins for our breakfast (we ordered hash and the breakfast burrito). The food came out cold and underwhelming, no quality check to even see if everything was ok. We were so hungry we just ate it cold. Probably won’t be coming back

Be REALLY careful how you dress and how you act. Toronto level judgynes by staff - if you don't measure up? no tables are available - one look, and they decide if you get a table - We failed the test - so we went elsewhere - I can't comment on service or food i never got to try. it must be good...they seemed about half full .
We visited this restaurant for breakfast a week ago as a group of five adults and two kids. We had ordered a mix of beverages, mimosas, tea, beer, orange juice, and hot chocolate for the kids along with five breakfast options.
The vibe was nice and the waitress was friendly, though with a slight pinch of attitude here and there. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended.
We waited at least 45 minutes for our food to arrive after placing our order. By the time it came, the food wasn’t even warm, it felt like everything had been plated and left sitting for 10+ minutes before being brought out. To make matters worse, other tables that arrived 10–15 minutes after us received their food well before we did, within the restaurant’s usual waiting time.
When we checked in with the waitress, she said she’d double-check with the kitchen. She came back after 10 minutes saying the food was “being plated up,” but it still took another 15 minutes to reach our table.
We had chosen this place for a family breakfast before driving to Algonquin Park, but instead we ended up spending over 1.5 hours, most of it waiting. The food itself was basic and nothing special, which made the whole experience even more disappointing, especially since we could have simply picked a grab-and-go option along the route.
Given the good reviews online, we had higher expectations. Sadly, our experience didn’t live up to them.

I went to the Railyard Cafe for the first time yesterday. It was really, really good. The salad was perfectly fresh, and the chicken club on a bun was delicious. My 3 friends who I was with agreed. I will be back for sure

Today, since it was raining so my family decided to go to Peterborough for lunch and we decided to check out The Railyard Cafe and Taphouse! It was a really good choice for lunch!! The waitress was very kind and helpful! I had their Mac 'N' Cheese with the LA Maison salad which was very tasty!!! I definitely do recommend anyone to check out this restaurant that is only steps away from Downtown Peterborough, Ontario, Canada 🙂👍🏻❤️

The drink and food were both aesthetically pleasing and delicious! I rarely get hot cocktail and this Blueberry Tea is worth the risk. I would come back if I get a chance!

We stopped in while passing through to Ottawa and we were so glad we did!! I enjoyed an amazing Salad and my husband ordered the Cubano, and we were not disappointed. The young man serving us was very friendly and gave us some tips while visiting Ontario that we really appreciated. We found the portions very large and the flavours excellent. The only reason I gave 4 stars for atmosphere is because the finishings are getting a bit thrashed. Drywall chipped etc. other than that…fantastic.

This is one of the best restaurants that we have been to in years!! The service was amazing - thanks Charlie!! The food was fresh, homemade and delicious!! We drove in from out of town and we would definitely consider making the drive to go again. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. You could tell all of the employees worked together as a team. It was extremely busy but that didn’t prevent the staff from taking personal care to make sure we knew about the specials and to make recommendations about the menu. The evening was a true delight for the four of us!!

We had visited the Railyard on a lunch occasion and it was fine. This time we tried breakfast and the 2 Eggs Benedict we had were okay. The poached eggs were cooked properly and nice presentation. I had the standard BNE asked for eggs over easy. I was served 2 eggs cooked hard. I checked with the server and she apologized and said she would come back with the proper eggs. She did not take the plate back so I munched on some overcooked homefries and waited just shy of 10 minutes for my eggs. When she brought them out they were again eggs cooked hard. She apologized for the long wait but I wasn't going to send them back a second time because the other guests with me were pretty much finished. It appeared the chef either didn't know how to cook an egg over easy or didn't care. Pretty disappointed especially for the price.

Really cute restaurant and bar. Went here for breakfast and the food was really good! Our server was nice and attentive as well. There's a big patio too and it's right by the old railway walking trail. The restaurants got ample parking in the back. I liked the analog signs that kept changing throughout the day.

The food here is amazing. The menu is creative and very well executed. The kimchi pork buns are off the charts good. The staff are friendly and accommodating - I go in regularly with my baby and everyone is so helpful. Bonus, there's an EV charger nearby!
