The place was nice! I'd never been to a karaoke bar before, and it was fun! The drinks were good and service was friendly. But our songs took a while to pop up after we put them in the system.

Stopped in on a Friday night during our downtown tour. Fun crowd, quick service, would go again.

Would be an easy 4 if their music selection wasn't ass. Not everyone listens to what's popular. Needs more metal and scene era tunes to really be comparable to the one I went to in

I love this place! I've been probably a dozen times now but had my birthday there on the weekend and they were so accommodating and super amazing. I would definitely recommend to anybody wanting to go just with a few friends or even having a party. Great drinks! Great servers. Great people! Thank you tonic truly made my birthday awesome! Only suggestion is I would add a little bit more songs to the karaoke. Other than that, this place is awesome! Thanks Korissa xoxo

Kid-friendliness: The stuff there is amazing. Very accommodating. Super helpful and also let us throw an amazing birthday party there.

Cold and uninviting, made us feel like we were not welcome, the bartender insinuated that people were stumbling around, not a place for having a nice evening out.

Checked the website to see if they allowed children in the private rooms- no specifications. My partner and I wanted a private room and had no intention of ordering drinks. Was met with judgmental staff. This place seems to tote that it is the only karaoke place in Peterborough but isn't welcoming to anyone younger than 18 but doesn't make that clear. Staff made us seem like we were ridiculous even though there is nowhere that specified an age limit. Posted a pic with the fact that it specifies no age specifics as well.

Equipment seems outdated and sometimes not responsive which took away from yet was a fun experience.

The tonic bar has karaoke everyday, except they are closed Mondays. They have private rooms available to rent by the hour, for private karaoke, so if you have some money there is no need to wait in line. But there is no cover charge and no minimum for the slow line, so broke people can go sing too. I have been there twice on a weekday night, and it was not busy at all. I was able to sing several songs in a row, and then take turns with just one or two other people, which was great compared to most karaoke venues where you might have to sing once in a rotation of 12 or more people. The hosts are very friendly and knowledgeable and the equipment is more than adequate.

Parking: There is a municipal parking lot nearby but on the days when I have visited there has been lots of parking available on the street. I was able to park right in front of the door on my two most recent visits.

The main female bartender is brutal (Tara I believe is her name…) and not a pleasant human at all. Thank goodness for Carson or I’d have ran for the

obviously tonic has been taken over by new management. song selections are horrible to think a karokee bar can't get a song not listed is nuts and there microphones needs help. when we first starting going few years back was good. now it's not a good time

I was a little apprehensive when I first went in but I had such a fantastic time. It was really quiet at around 9:00 but by midnight it was absolutely packed. Really good vibe there. There is no food other than a bag of chips or so. You go for the drinks and to sing karaoke. I don't like the idea of the private rooms but the main area where the bar is was a lot of fun. Some really good singers and some mediocre singers like me. You don't go there for fancy drinks or good beers on top or good quality wines. There is a selection and I'm sure you could find something that you would enjoy. If you like karaoke, this is definitely a place to go.If you have a group of people and you want to sing just with your gang you can rent one of the private rooms. People were doing that with birthday parties and bachelorette parties.
