Ordered shrimp and chicken balls .. so badly overcooked , it could barely be eaten !!! Been a customer for a long time, will never order again.

This is by far my favorite Chinese food restaurant in the city of Peterborough. I love their food so much! However, some things to note. They do not have dine in options. It is take out only and parking can be tricky. Truthfully we usually just pay for the delivery.

Very disappointed in food. The sweet and sour chicken ball were more batter than chicken, chicken Lo mien had no sauce, little flavour and the Lo mien noodles were over cooked, the honey garlic chicken balls we’re more batter than chicken the flavour was good but not enough sauce, the rice dishes (one vegetable and one beef) had very little vegetables or beef and tasted the same. The only edible dish in my opinion was the beef and broccoli.

Among other things, we ordered the deep-fried Wong tong. When we got home, we seen that it was burnt. Why would the restaurant put this in the box for us to take out when they could see it was clearly burnt. Very disappointing

My first time ordering from here a couple months ago was a great experience so I ordered again on Sunday and it was so totally different even though I ordered all the same items. The taste and quality on most dishes went way downhill from the first time. I called wondering what happened but never got a response from the manager... Both orders were for over $120 and I will not be back.

Honestly last time I had this it was good and I got a single combo. This time I ordered a combo with the sweet and sour shrimp and a lemon chicken on the side. I could have eaten have of the half lemon chicken potion and still only have eaten batter. Way way way too much batter on everything basically payed 15$ for a lemon chicken batter which is inedible, because the contents were only batter. Not to mention the shrimp I got with my combo looked huge but were just a little tiny shrimp again engulfed in batter. Super gross will never get again, sorry but not sorry I hate paying overpriced for food that is inedible. Good thing uber eats refunded me for this monstrosity.

Best Chinese food in town. Hands down. Only issue are the hours and if you don't get an order in early enough they cannot accommodate a large volume of orders.
UPDATED REVIEW December 2024 - sadly the last couple of times we have ordered here the quality of food and taste has gone down. This last time, one item was severely undercooked (wontons) and one overcooked (chicken balls). The egg rolls, chicken soo guy and rice were fine but not great. I called to advise and they were appreciative of the info. I advised I did not want anything in return. I did however tell them I won’t be ordering here anymore due to decline in quality of food. It’s too bad because this WAS the best Chinese food around and one of the best I’ve ever had. Left it at a 3 star as the staff are always friendly and courteous.
We ordered chicken soo guy it was horrible way too much batter, very little chicken, served with clumped up gravy, making it soggy. If you order this ask for gravy on the side!! Egg rolls were tasteless and expensive

Excellent service, food is always delicious and made in a timely manner. I ordered online today asking for extra veggies in my pad Thai, and they called me to confirm which vegetables I would like, to make sure I was satisfied with my order. I will always choose this restaurant for Chinese food!
