We had a reservation for 12:15 pm and arrived 5 minutes early. We were shown to our table and sat there for 15 minutes before getting a menu. Our order was taken at 12:45 when we got our drinks. 1:15 we finally got our food but had no cutlery. 1:40 we finally went to the cash to pay, even though we did not have our bill yet. Finally left the restaurant about 8 minutes later and just barely got to the theatre for our two o’clock show.
The food was good, even though it was a limited menu with a fixed price of $26. If you didn’t order off the that menu they couldn’t guarantee we would be served in time for the theatre.
1 1/2 hours to get in and out of the restaurant for lunch is ridiculous. We will not be returning.

On July 17, I was part of a seniors' bus trip from Windsor and our group of seven had reservations! Service was slow. Our orders were [eventually] taken...and we waited...and we waited. For our party of seven, three received parts of their meal order. Then after an hour, two more received parts of their meal order. Two of us received our fish dinners 25 minutes before the Playhouse production opening number and the fish was too hot to eat (immediately). The five who received parts of their meal order were given the last part of their meal order "to go". Unbelievably terrible service!!!

Service is always excellent, fast, friendly, table maintenance is great, food checks on your meal by your server, so many positive reasons to become a regular customer

it seems as though there has been a deterioration........the food was not very good, lukewarm and not cooked well. it was just a quesidilla and fries. I believe the interior needs a fresh look, or a finished look. it seems rather neglected and forlorn. I am sure it can be revived to make it more welcoming. Another concern was when I received my Visa bill for the charge, instead of listing the restaurant name, it listed a person's name, I'm assuming the new owner. Hopefully it can be revived as it has a perfect location and a great reputation for many coming into Petrolia for the plays. I wish you well as you breathe new life into your business.

Congratulations to the new owners! Onward and upward!

A group of 6 of us arrived at Actors for lunch prior to a theatre show. We had made a reservations but there was no table ready. We were given a table for 10 in the back corner. After 30 min, we had not spoken to our waitress and not been given water. One of our party had to go and get water for us. Then a paper specialty menu was delivered but no regular menu. We waited another 15+ min. for a regular menu. It was an hour from arrival before our order was taken. Our reservation was for 12:15 (their recommendation as we had tickets for a 2:00 pm show). Our food for 5 of us was delivered at 1:25-1:30. The 6th person received their food 10 min later. We had to rush and eat to make the theatre on time. Food for the most part was okay but lukewarm like it had been sitting for a bit prior to being delivered to our table.

I made reservations a week ago, letting rhe person know we were coming for our anniversary and CONFIRMED they had prime rib. We arrived a few minutes ago to be advised they did NOT have prime rub but turkey dinner for nearly 25$. Very disappointed, we will be going some where else and may not be returning to Actors for a while.

I called for reservations and I had to speak to the manager. It was for a retirement dinner. She was very rude and not pleasant to talk to. The reservation was for 16 people. When we arrived we had 3 separate tables with some of the people sitting with their backs to each other. Service was very good. Erika was very friendly and looked after us very well.

My wife and I stopped by on Wednesday and was very pleased with the experience. I had the French onion soup and Firehouse burger, and my wife the mushroom soup and Club Sandwich. The food was excellent ad the service very good. You could miss the entrance on the main street, but once you enter, it is located at the back of the building. Lots of history memorabilia. When in Petrolia give Actors a visit.

Great food! Only complaint is the one server who is always grumpy when you walk in and greets you with "reservations!?" How about a hello, or how's it going.
