This place is a hidden gem. Excellent fresh food great value and quick efficient service. Also wonderful supporters of the community. This is our go to supplier for beef patties for many of our school events! We cannot say enough good things about this spot…try the stuffed sandwich it is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ thank you 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Ordered a chicken soup but it seems like you must order the chicken separately because where is the chicken!? It's soup man. Be fr and do better. Even if you wanted to add more veggies in it but it's basically broth. I want Jamaican ppl to do better..

Always love the Jamaican patties here. Friendly service. I haven’t tried anything else on the menu but the patties are some of the best out there. Decently priced. Everything on the menu is reasonably priced and the portions are a good size.

I literally just ate the food and it was terrible. I wanted Caribbean food not Chinese food. It lacked flavour, the meat just tasted like salt. Don’t waste your money.
With all due respect, in 2025, people have a right to their opinion. I like Chinese food and and I would never judge their people. I didn’t like the food I ate. To me, it tasted more like Chinese food than Caribbean, plus there was too much salt in the meat I ate. If I want Chinese food, I know where to go. I just didn’t not like the food I ate. I have had much better Caribbean food. Diversity does not offend me. I love all people. You are correct that your restaurant isn’t my spot. Thank you.

Oxtail, rice and peas was horrible. Rice was very dry, oxtail had a bitter taste. Sorry but not even close to Jamaican food. Gave the one star for the fried plantain.

Allwyn’s is a Pickering staple and easily one of the best spots for Caribbean food in the city. The jerk chicken is always full of flavor, smoky, and perfectly spicy, and the gravy ties everything together. The portions are generous and the food always hits the spot, especially with a cold drink on the side. Service is quick, the prices are fair, and the vibe is exactly what you want from a neighborhood classic. Allwyn’s never disappoints.
