I had octopus taco, my friend had chorizo and beef taco 🌮 😋. It was different. Although overpriced. I spent over $140.00 also had 2 drinks.
Too expensive.... for Mexican

The food was excellent and so was the Mid day Margarita. We enjoyed every bite of our food - Street Corn, Guacamole, Birria and Al Pastor Tacos. The service could not have been better. Thank you Jade for your recommendations and attentive serve.

The staff was nice, the vibes are clean and welcoming, but I thought the food wasn't all that special. Nothing was bad, and the tuna crudo was very fresh and nice. But otherwise nothing to ride home about. Nice place for a drink and light apps, but I probably wont be back.

I have not found good Mexican places in Toronto. This is it, I need to try different dishes to make it 5 star.

We were recommended this place by good friends whose food opinions we always trust (lol). From the moment we walked in, we loved the warm, inviting atmosphere. It was our anniversary, and all we wanted was a nice date night and a great evening out.
I’m from Arizona, so my taco and salsa standards are pretty high—and since moving to Canada, I've always been on the search for quality Mexican food and desserts and from our experience here, I was genuinely impressed. The pico de gallo was bright and freshly chopped, the corn chips arrived hot and perfectly salted, and everything just tasted fresh. We ordered the Baja Fish, El Pastor, and Beef Birria tacos, and wow… the flavours blew us away. The fish breading had a unique spice—definitely not your typical fried fish with white sauce. The El Pastor had tender, fatty pork balanced beautifully with chunks of pineapple. Each taco was generously sized, with fresh tortillas that held together (unlike many places where they crumble). We cleaned every plate.
For dessert, our server recommended the Tres Leches when we couldn’t decide between that and churros. We’re so glad we listened. The cupcake was dense and soaked in milk, topped with light, fluffy whipped cream and cinnamon. The mix of textures and cool creaminess made it the perfect sweet ending to our night.
I also want to highlight our server—she was wonderful: attentive, kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely enjoyable to talk to. She made our anniversary dinner feel even more special with the attention she gave us.
We almost went somewhere else in Whitby, but I’m so glad we were recommended to go here instead. The food, the service, the whole experience— exceeded expectations. We’ll definitely be back for more dessert and tacos! 🌮❤️

its so hard to find good food in Durham. Other than the keg's consistency, but keg is so corporate.. But Chuuk, they did it for me. Finally a place that's actually good. Lots of depth of flavour, with unique and inspiring tastes. I haven't been in some time, and hadn't gotten around to writing a review since. In any case it's the only place that i say to myself... yeah. Chuuk. that place was actually good.

The food was really great. I don't usually love corn tacos. But these were delicious because the fillings were of such great quality!

When you think of Mexican food, some would think deep fried, greasy and messy foods. Food selections like refried beans, tacos, fajitas, churros, all equals heart burn or reflux.
This is NOT the case at Chúuk Mexican Kitchen and Bar here, the cuisine is elevated to a higher standard from the typical Mexican restaurants.
You fine the items on the Menu to be authentic flavours of Mexican spices and dishes steeped in the traditional culture. Food you read about in Mexican novels that the Grandmas would spend hours preparing in the kitchen ( ‘Like Water for Chocolate’… if you know you know)
It’s one of my favourite Restaurants in the GTA and I’ve been going since it opened.
The meals never disappoint and the cocktails are very creative and appealing.
What I appreciate the most is the variety on the Menu. The location with free parking on site, and the ambiance!
Coming from a Caribbean culture this place has a resort like atmosphere, tasteful not with typical scary Mexican skulls, brash decor, sombreros and Mexican flags on every table-No! This cozy spot in Pickering has a calming tropical feel. Even the Musical playlist is a vibe that I enjoy.
I bring my family, friends, young, old and Chúuk always leaves a good impression on everyone !
May this restaurant and bar continue to serve quality cuisine to its customers for years to come!!

Just happened to be in the area and looking for a quality bite to eat. I was VERY impressed with the entire experience. I sat on the patio and had great service. The tacos al pastor where amazing! Very very good. I also had a non-alcoholic margarita that was excellent. I am looking forward to returning and trying other menu items even though I live pretty far away. It's worth the trip.

I’ve been here multiple times as a couple and apart of group diners and have always been satisfied.
Food is tasty - guac, cassava fries, chicken steak, plantain and even the recent addition of the ceviche are always consistently very well done.
My only suggestion in terms of food is that the tacos have more flavour/ sauciness to it.
The pink jaguar (also as a mocktail) and the green mocktail drink are great.
The atmosphere is great in the sense that you can have conversations without yelling as the music isn’t too loud.
The service is also consistently great - prompt and friendly whether there’s 2 of us a or 8+ I highly recommend this restaurant.
