This is usually my go to while driving through the Durham region but yesterday was a bit of a disappointment, the grease they were using for the fries tasted old and killed the taste. I'll still go back but hope they use fresher oil for the fries.

I bought chicken, fries and biscuits for my family. The fries and gravy were good, but the chicken was spoiled. It had a bad smell to it. It almost seemed as though the chicken was spoiled before they cooked it. There were a few good pieces but almost half of it was spoiled. I returned the remaining pieces but only got a refund for the pieces I returned. In good faith, I felt they should have returned all of the chicken, especially since one of my family members got sick and started throwing up after she ate the chicken. I also submitted a complaint to the head office but received no response.

As for the biscuits, they were okay but seemed like they could have been baked a little more. It was very disappointing. I will not be going back there.

Been buying chick n joy at this location since it has opened. With in the last year there must of been a change of ownership. The pieces have extremely shrunk. Flavour has changed not as flavourful but greasy taste.. before chicken was made fresh had to wait but now chicken is cooked and left sitting on the side

I had a fantastic experience at this place. The chicken was good and the fries were just as tasty. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was cozy and laid-back.

This is not the real taste of C'nJ. Our family knows the real taste of Chick n Joy chicken for the last 3 decades. Not sure what this location has done to the mix but it's not the authentic flavour. Our favourite location has always been Kingston/Lawrence but now I heard that there's a location in Ajax which we will try. This location is a write-off.

The fry chicken was up to the standards of other locations. But lacking customer service. To the owners of location staff your restaurant to the proper staffing levels don't have employees doing 10 different things at the same time. Don't have your customers standing in store without employee acknowleding that you are standing there.

I asked for macaroni and cheese so the lady gives me macaroni salad and the also only gave me 2 biscuits when I ordered 4. Alway check the bag if you even dare fo there. They don't care anymore and are stealing people's money. Bad people

The food does not taste like other locations. It looks and tastes as if they are using stale oil or the food is stale in general like other reviews have said. The chicken looks dark and it tastes dry. Will never purchase anything from this location again. Go to the one on Kingston in Scarborough!
