Our server Audrey was amazing. She was attentive, kind, and very apologetic for the poor experience we had with the food. We ordered the French onion soup and Caesar salad for appetizers which were fine. For our main course, we ordered a porter house to share with a side of whipped potatoes and an extra fully loaded baked potato and an add-on of scallops. We ordered our porter house medium rare, but when it arrived, the steak was a wide range of temperatures from medium to well done. We immediately notified the chef and who appeared to be the dining room manager and the chef was extremely rude and dismissive and gas lit us into believing it was medium rare. He stated it was medium rare and walked away without even offering to prepare a new steak. Thankfully the manager had some sense of customer service and offered to replace it. Unfortunately at this point we realized the entire steak would have to go to waste and that was the last thing we wanted. After we started eating, we realized the scallops were undercooked, almost raw. There was no colour, no sear and looked like they steamed it. It was absolutely disgusting. I've seen photo reviews on google and the scallops did not look like this. At this point, we asked the manager to take it away and remove it from our bill, which they did. They also offered complimentary dessert but honestly, everything was just so mediocre and not worth the price. A small can of Montellier sparkling water cost $8, the porterhouse was $88 and scallops $24-28?? The only saving grace here was the empathetic server. Overall, I would NOT recommend this restaurant and I would suggest the restaurant not allow the chef to be customer facing.

What a beautiful restaurant, our server was very good. There was very few or limited options if your not a steak person. The price was $300 ( a little under) for two people). One person doesn't drink. I felt the price was well over for what it was. We had the filets and no appetizers and 2 beers and shared 1 dessert shared. 3 sides. No wine -

My experience was not as expected! I was told I could not use my Comp Casino Dollars on Menu specials only on regular priced menu items which was not clearly stated it was verbally said to me before placing my order NOT GOOD .. !

We loved this restaurant the first time we dined. The food and service were exceptional. This most recent visit was not at the same level in terms of service. Our original reservation was for 6:45 but we were able to be seated at 6:15 which should have allowed plenty of time for food and drinks. The service was incredibly slow with no explanation nor apology. The server knew we had tickets to the 8pm show but that did not seem to help speed anything up. Our friend was served beer in a soapy glass which you can imagine how awful that was. The replacement beer took at least 10 minutes with again no explanation or apology. Clearly there was something going wrong behind the scenes as this was not the level of service we expected. I would expect a casino restaurant to be staffed for a busy Saturday night but this did not seem to the be the case. Beside our table sat a tray of dirty dishes from another table. Very unpleasant. We would return for the food so cudos so the chef but front of house has some work to do.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Steaks were cooked perfectly and the service was top notch. Will return for sure!

The food was good but overpriced. The pricing is likely due to the fact they're in a casino as the items where about 50-70% more then they should have been. The service was very good though, from the host to our server. We will not go back though as the value was not there.

I had high hopes for this place. Sadly it was not up to par. The service was slow and disorganized. The server had a lot of trouble answering questions about the menu and about allergens in the food. There were no gluten free options. The prices were too high for what we got. As a positive, the steak and prime rib were cooked well and delicious. The cocktails were ok. We would not eat here again.

Everything we ordered was delicious Lobster Mac and cheese Bone in ribeye Cauliflower soup Brussel sprouts Sea salt fries Bacon wrapped chicken Caesar Salad in the parmesan crust bowl

Prime Rib was excellent - better than I have eaten at The Keg and other restaurants. Steaks were very good. Staff were all friendly and very efficient. Prices were on high side but high food quality compensated somewhat. Will definitely return.

We went for a show and they were able to seat us early (thank you)! We were so grateful to have Ashely as our server! She was attentive, adorable, and lovely! Food was great, service was stupendous and, despite no beer on tap, we had a DELICIOUS bottle of wine! Loved the evening!

Copperhorn Restaurant at Pickering Casino

The atmosphere at Copperhorn Restaurant is lovely elegant and gives the impression of fine dining. Unfortunately, everything beyond the ambiance fell short of expectations.

We waited over an hour for our meals, and when they finally arrived, the experience was disappointing:
• New York Strip Steak (10 oz.) – Served cold and dry. I requested medium-well, but it was completely overcooked and flavorless.
• Bacon-Wrapped, Corn-Fed, Free-Range Chicken Breast Supreme – Easily the worst chicken we ever had at a fine dining restaurant: dry, bland, and lacking any flavour.
• Three Australian Lamb Chops – Decent in taste, but arrived cold and not prepared as requested.
• Specialty Lobster Mac & Cheese ($48) – This was the biggest disappointment. It was served inside a lobster shell, which looked appealing, but the dish itself was dry, bland/no cheese, and what I would call over cooked/baked! We barely took two bites. What made it worse was that our server didn’t even ask if we wanted it packed to go, despite noticing it untouched. For $48, I absolutely would have taken it home and add flavour to it myself.

To be absolutely honest here, the breads and drinks were the only saving grace, the sangria was very good, and the wine was decent. Bread came with baked garlic and whipped butter, it was good. Service, however, was just “okay.” Our server didn’t ask how the food was, and we did request lamb chops to-go, when we placed our main course, however i believe it was prepared too early as it was a bit too cold.

For comparison, I regularly dine at The Keg (my favorite steakhouse) and severely other steakhouses. I enjoy dining at Ruth’s Chris on special occasions, while Ruth’s Chris is pricey, every dish I’ve had there is executed perfectly. Even internationally, I’ve had outstanding dining experiences, such as at The Shard in London absolutely worth every penny. Copperhorn, unfortunately, was the opposite.

I was very hurt and disappointed to spend such a large amount on food that didn’t meet even basic standards. The final bill came to just over $500, and based on the quality of food and service, it wasn’t worth even half of that. Dining out should feel like an experience, something you remember for the right reasons. While I don’t usually put a price tag on dining out – especially when it comes to enjoying good food – this one was very difficult to justify paying. Copperhorn left me frustrated, disappointed, and with the difficult feeling I wasted $500.

If you look at the pictures, you can see there’s no moisture coming from any of the plates or meals, the plates were not even warm, Just dryness.
